here is a good link to get you started.

http://www.brianmac.co.uk/nutrit.htm

i've taken proteins and other gimmicky bs from GNC, bodybuilding.com...the list goes on and on. the base of it all stems from your diet. you need to have a well balanced diet of protein, carbs and fat before you start loading up on protein. your body is gonna go for the carbs first for energy and thats where you draw the energy from to workout and build muscle. if your just suckin down protein and not enough carbs, then your just burning off the protein/muscle your body is trying to build...just working against yourself.

what are your goals...short term vs long term. bulk up and get really f*n strong or build strength and get lean. its difficult to do both at the same time, not impossible, but its a balancing act unless your wasting loads of money on unnecessary supplements. i've been doing good keeping my body fat at 11%, building muscle and still making gains for the past 2yrs, consistently. been lifting for over 15yrs and im now 31. im not trying to get yoked, it wouldn't benefit my line of work, but im still able to stay diesel at 6'1 and 210.

the best piece of advice i believe...DIET! its like people who try to lose weight, they workout but they don't change their diet and still consume more calories than they burn. you can't lose weight unless you have a calorie deficient diet...its science! Diet is key...whether your trying to gain, maintain, or lose weight...and thats a scientific fact!

sorry, i'll get off my box now. good luck to you.

Honestly its all basically the same shit. Sure some give you more protein and less fat than others but in reality you cant go wrong with any of them. The only noticable difference seems to be taste.

Workouts are more important than worrying about what brand you buy.
