I simply don't understand what everybody's problem is. My parents are buying me a car which I feel that I deserve. Just because not everybody has awesome parents isn't my fault? Daddy owns an oil company and has ties to the Saudi Arabian oil companies. I SINCERELY APOLOGIZE for that. As for everybody hating on this topic, here you go.

Hv92, why do you feel the need to rub your dads wealth in everyones face? You're bragging about your dad - you have nothing to show about yourself other than the med school your dad paid for, that pretty much anyone with a bit of determination could do. You think you deserve a 100k car for doing something that's expected of you by society and your family? Get a grip on reality, kid. Nobody cares about some kids wealth on this forum. From what I understand your dad is getting you a GTR for going through school... I could buy my kid a GTR, but i'm not a dumbass.

The GTR is a great car, and you'll be happy with it if you get one. My good friend, and ex-roommate, has a black 2009. It's a ton of fun to drive, but as stated previously, it is very computer controlled, which some people like and some don't. After swapping keys the first time, even he told me the Camaro is harder to drive to the limit after being so used to his car. This particular friend and I have comparable jobs in the same industry, and though I could've gone his route, I opted for my 2010 SS because I love Camaros. I love the way the back end slides out anytime I want, and the way my tires sound when they rub concrete the wrong way. To each their own, and I hope it makes you happy. But what makes me happy is a V8 rumble, and an engine that shakes the whole damn car at idle!

When you don't know the sacrifices my family has made. I know you probably don't care but that is fine. But please don't judge me just because of the expensive car or lifestyle I may lead. I simply asked a question about a car. What can I say. Hey. It's okay. I would be jealous too.

One would think your parents paying for all that education would be enough

You deserve a $90k supercar because your parents have given you the opportunity of a good education and in turn, a high paying profession? You're the definition of a brat, as evidenced by your attitude since you brought it up.

As for being jealous, what do you drive right now? It's far too common for young guys to join car forums, talk about what car their parents are going to buy them, or what car they are going to buy with their paper-boy money, then end up with a Ford Escort a few months later talking about how some funding issue came up or the Escort is just really the better buy LOL.

Really well actually, considering I'm 20 years old and can afford my own insurance and gas on two cars, and buy a 2011 Legacy all on my own. Don't need mommy or daddy for that one. I actually have the sense to buy a car that flies under the radar at a college campus, my Camaro stays at my garage. Maybe you should ask mommy and daddy for a daily driver too, I'm sure they'd love to buy you another car.

This. My parents payed for part of my education, and I have a decent scholarship. The Camaro was like a graduation/scholarship present that they didn't pay for completely, and I still think that was one of the nicest things anyone could ever do. A lot of my friends have loans, no scholarship and their parents didn't buy them a car, and here this kid thinks paying for med school gets him a GTR
