The fact that this car isn't available for sale to the general public is a tragedy.

Truly a great car. Will post pics eventually.

Seats are very supportive, by the way.

But are they comfortable and spacious enough for an officer to sit with a full utility belt?
Or will the patrol version have different seats?

Honestly wouldn't know without wearing said utility belt. I did take a picture of the driver's seat for you.

Jeez. That air intake is a train wreck from a performance standpoint.

lol you're not kidding!
Great article Fen!

I do think the Caprice could use a bit more Pizazz in the inside, but i do realize these are currently 9Cx models. There is no shortage of rear seat space it looks though!

Thanks!

Just want to reiterate something...

This is a police car. It has the absolute lowest-grade interior you can get on a Commodore. It's not even a Holden Caprice interior. Exterior-wise, Criswell did their best to dress it up.

And honestly, it looks great in person. Very elegant proportions and a functional interior.

That being said, again, you cannot ignore the elephant in the room: it started life as a police car. It was not meant to stand out or be flashy, or luxurious for that matter. I feel as though a lot of people are forgetting that fact, that GM never intended for this car to be sold for public consumption, only for police departments that are going to beat the crap out of the car.

But I'll tell you right now, I would buy one in a heartbeat, even with the lower-grade interior. It's THAT good of a car.

So when you view the pictures, keep this in mind: you could easily build off what's there. A few interior trim pieces here, some exterior chrome moldings there, and you'd have a very classy looking car.

Just a point of clarification, the car is not the same as the G8. It is bigger. It is a WM, not a VE.
Just in case you were wondering what you could do to one,
