If you wake up one morning and your Regal isn't in your driveway, just shoot me a PM, I'll have it back in an hour.

Now I see why you like Buicks!

If the Voucher had lasted longer I might have tried to get the Regal GS. But then again the 2012 LaCrosse is getting the 306 hp 3.6L V-6. That is going to make the LaCrosse even better!

But honestly, if the voucher lasted until next year I would have traded my Camaro in and used the Voucher to cover the difference and got a ZL-1

CEL light came on in my wife's Regal. We took it in yesterday. Apparently there's a service bulletin from GM about a PCM problem. They reflashed it. If it pops up again, they'll have to replace the PCM.

I'm NOT happy.

I looked at the Buick forum and there are several threads with people complaining about engine/transmission problems.

What preceded the CEL was an acceleration problem. When she stepped on the gas, it would hesitate, then jerk forward.

Since you have a different engine, this probably doesn't apply to you though.

Nice ride! I had no idea Buick was making these... Good to see GM is still using the LNF motor...as it's a BEAST and has lots of upgradability! I know several Cobalt SS/TC's running upwards of 340 to 350 HP, on the stock turbo.

Now if they would just throw that motor into a cruize... I'd buy in a heartbeat.

Oh no! Sorry to hear about your problems Berean. How long have you had your Regal? So you have the N/A 2.4L? I know the two engines use different transmissions: the 2.4L the Hydra-Matic and the 2.0L the Aisin. I will look to see if there are any possible service bulletins about mine also

You could have gone for the European version (Opel Insignia). That's available in AWD...

Or Vauxhall Insignia if you want a right hand drive, AWD.
I love this new Regal, but no AWD is a real kick in the nuts, especially with our heavy snow winters here...

Correct, and in the "VXR" you get a healthy 325hp V6 with it as well (even the diesels start having AWD now)

Yes, that 2.8 V6 Turbo would've really made a Buick Regal GS worth its weight in gold, especially mated to the awesome Haldex AWD system!

But sadly it would have weighed as much as gold.................................and cost as much.

Go to either Vauxhall or Opel sites and price one out.

I'm sorry to hear about your issues with your Regal. If you need any help I can assist you as well if you would like. I also have a counterpart on the Buick Forum through my co worker Laura. I can help you here and she would be able to assist you there as well!

Thanks, I appreciate the consideration.

What I'm not happy about is buying a new car and having problems. Engine/transmission problems at that, which I'm sure anyone here can understand.

I haven't had any problems with my Camaro, but I've seen people here who have, and they feel the same way. When you buy a new car, it's no fun to deal with problems regardless if the dealer takes care of it under warranty.

Again, I appreciate the consideration but I don't think there's much you can do. The dealer has/is taking care of it, I'm just not happy with having to deal with it to begin with.

But it would have been AWD! Number 3, Canada AWD vehicles, and GM has too few in car form! (Two, CTS and LaCrosse)

Although they had better get that cold-disabled-rear-axle fixed for the Haldex, or no one is going to want it...

I can understand your frustrations Berean. Hopefully you don't have to deal with it much longer and you can get back to enjoying both your vehicles.
