It wasn't the wreck that killed him, it was the heart attack. There was actually very little damage done to his Jeep.

Never got into fake wrestling, but he was pretty entertaining.

Yeah the fights were staged and no one was meant to get hurt but trust me, theres nothing fake about the pain from what they do or their grueling schedules. And unlike actors, at least back then, in public they ALWAYS had to be in character. (kayfabe).

great thing about entertainers is that after they are gone their work lives on forever!! he was a great part of my childhood!!!

Man I remember that match, and this was a great tribute/write up for Macho Man.

He was a very memorable part of mine as well. He was one of the few that made wrestling entertaining for me.

The OP talks about Lanny Poffo, Randy's brother - Lanny was The Genius, and a fine aerial wrestler in his own right.

RIP, I was in shock all day yesterday when I first heard the news. Can't believe he is gone from this world! Great entertainer and he was awesome on the mic!
