But I have noticed that to be true, side walks n street parking invite stranger crime. Which is more daring and more often. Still gotta worry about your neighbors sometimes but most don't crap in their own yard to much......

Also helps if most folks own and not rent. No easy come and go.

You're not going to believe it.
Last night..12:30 AM. little truck pulls up across the street. Neighbors have a chevy truck on the other side of their driveway. Guy runs up in the shadow at the back of the truck. Parents looks out for a few seconds, decide to open the window. Guy hears it, jumps out of the shadow , then takes off. Parents call the cops. While they're still on the line a few minutes later guy comes back in little truck. Runs up and grabs a can. Looks like maybe he was syphoning gas. Takes off again. Parents still talking to 911. Few minutes go by--Guy comes back again! Grabs a bigger can and hose, spilling gas in the street. As he drives down the street he passes a police Tahoe. They spin around and pursue. A few minutes later they go to my parents house and say they lost him, but a little while later apparently another cop picked up the chase. Guys jumped out of little truck and resisted.
The fun never ends.

No the no good piece of crap thief sued my friend. Come to find out it is illegal I intentionally booby trap something to do harm to another human being. I have a concealed carry license and live in Oklahoma. I have been told by instructors an law enforcement that if someone is stealing your radio out of your driveway and you shoot them you are in trouble. It sucks but criminals have more rights than law abiding citizens.

My daughter has lived in Phoenix for about 12 or so years. Her 91 Civic hatchback and later an 03 Civic EX 2 door can just about trump your list. Radios, windows, stolen twice. The dash on the 91 was so cut up and messed up that she didn't bother repair and replace the radio after the 3rd or 4th time. The 91 even came back to haunt her after she traded it in at a major dealer. Police came knocking on her door a couple months later. The car was involved in a felony murder and ended up still being titled or registered to her in some way

This was all while she lived and worked in the McDowell, 7th, W. Willetta area.

Things are better now out in the immediate Glendale, U. Phoenix stadium area (she has the housing market, that Obama guy, and first time buyer stuff to thank for a nice gently used new home with a garage)

I visit Phoenix once a year and like it, but.......

McDowell...that's not a good area is it?

My dad was telling me a couple weeks ago a lady from church lives in an apartment close by. She has about a 25 year old Cadillac. punks got in and tore up the dash. She's elderly and says she doesn't have the money to fix it. Just have to scrap it.

The dealer title jumped, which is illegal.

Though I know folks who got free cars like that from JB byryder or what ever its called, cheap gin joint used car lot.

They bought a car form them on payments but the dealer title jumped, which means they just stopped paying and there was nothing the dealer could do.
He title jumped and could not prove ownership and couldn't take back the car, and wouldn't, dealers get in big trouble for title jumping.

They know better.

Not in Texas they don't

Anyone in commision of a crime has no right to sue if they are injured.
If someone is stealing from us,we can even pursue them and end it with lethal force.

All someone has to do in Texas is threaten you with a class A felony, and you can respond with lethal force.

No you are correct, there is even a sign on route 2 heading East that says BFE on it.

But I don't drive east that often less its just for a nice drive, everything cool is to the west

Yes it is, cause it is just by accident or chance.
Ill have to go take a drive and look for it.

Not sure why the sign says BFE on it, but its a real highway type sign

Unhappy

I have a good one for you guys, may have told it before but here goes.

In 1988, my family and I moved from NY to Nevada after the hostpital that my dad and my stepmother worked at shut down making them jobless. well while in Nevada my dad found this SWEET mint 1977 Datsun 280Z (not the later similar styled 280ZX). while the car was great it was only a 2 seater and my brother at the time was 6 so he has no problem sitting behind the 2 front seats and holding onto the luggage straps when we were driven to school in the mornings. but after a while my dad decided to get a 2nd car a nice low mileage 1985 Pontiac Firebird Ttop coupe with a V8 and a manual tran. the Pontiac was nice what I liked about the car was it had a set of 77/78 Trans Am 'bandit style' snowflake alloys on white letter tires. now that you have the back story here comes the 'fun' part.

well me and my brother missed our mom who was back in NY, my dad did not like his job and my step mom missed her mom, so we moved back to NY. my brother and I flew across country and stayed with my mom while they drove back and had 2 guys drive the Z and the 'bird back. when they got to NY they put the 2 sports cars in storage at a friends garage.

one day we get a call from the local P.D. and tell my dad he better come to the garage. we get there and find the Z with it's hatchback open and the stereo gone (pioneer tape deck nothing fancy but it sounded good), but the worst of it was the 'bird they used the Z's jack to jack up the car take the rims/tires broke the side glass and took the t tops. the insurance covered the lost of the tops and the wheels and we bought a set of similar 'snowflake alloys' from an auto trader and my dad pocketed the difference .
