I was in line with a bunch of guys from New England and all of a sudden I heard the crowd scream and when I got back to my seat my wife had to fill me in on it. The hotdog was good though
I remember that night.... I was in 8th grade at the time arguing with my parents to let me stay up and watch more of the game..... then it happened sitting right between both parents (who are extremely conservative). Loooonnnnngggg awkward silence! I guess I was 13 or 14 at time time, way before the birds and the bees..... but sure learned a lot that night! lol, I still don't think they've told it to me come to think of it

I missed the first half of the game tonight.... glad I missed that! I saw a guy mess up both national anthems at a hockey game a few months ago (US and Canada ones). He starts out "Oh say have you seen"

Took the words right out of my mouth. Francis Scott Key wrote the Star Spangled Banner, in 1931 it was made our official anthem, sing that.. not your crappy version of it.. its a huge insult to what it really stands for. Its not a freken pop song, its The Star Spangled Banner..

me & another LT just sang it at our wing awards last friday (and apparently our CC wants us again at a change of command ceremony in a couple weeks), and i sure wouldn't say we were worthy of television, but at least we got the words right

Time to start qualifying these so-called "star" singers. How many times have we seen them botch the national anthem?:flag1:

As much as I think she is soooo sexy, it is F'ing inexcusable to not know the words and change the starting and ending parts to the lines.:( I think from next year on they should have an audition and have someone monitor how it is sung, pick the final person that will sing it and if it is sung any different they do NOT get paid. It is a complete disservice to us as Americans and to our great country to have it any other way!!!

Even though she's a nut case. This has to be one of the best renditions ever sung.

So people are upset with the "style" with which the National Anthem was sung or that a line was left out, it wasn`t done to be disrespectful.

This is BAD "style" and disrespect.
