I bought my 99 Camaro in 03 (divorce present to myself.) 3 weeks ago I sold it in anticipation of my Vert coming soon. When I told my 9yr old daughter I sold it, she teared up, looked at me and said "but daddy, I grew up with that car!" Priceless!

Some really awesome stories in this thread, I may as well contribute.

My second car was a present from my uncle. I was driving an old pos when I was given a 2003 Cavalier as a graduation present. My uncle didn't want my old car breaking down on me and costing me a ton of money while I was in university.

I still own the car and it has proven to be very reliable, but now with the Camaro and my terrain it's just taking up space and I don't want to get rid of it, but I know I'll have to soon.

Yes. 2 of them. My first car. It was a 1969 Camaro. I had it redone when I was 17 and I chose the colors and everything that was done to it. I became attached to it enough to name it. Grey Ghost because I had it painted Dark Metallic Grey with Silver stripes.
The second was my 5th gen. It's the only other car, out of two many to count, that I have named. I've named her Jewels. She's an RJT.

My 5th gen SS is the only car that I've formed any kind of attachment with.

I recently sold my 1978 Camaro Type LT that I owned for 11 years. I thought I was pretty attached to it but I'm not missing it much. It is no comparison to my 2011 SS in power, handling, ride quality, comfort and overall fun factor. I plan on keeping my 2011 for a long time, like my 1978.
