I didn't know Korg went retro. That's a pretty rad synth. I think that's what I'd want if I bought a keyboard.

It's pretty awesome! I got the 73 key version (Fits in the trunk of my camaro) but they make an 88 as well. Full weighted keys and has all the "vintage" sounds keyboard players dream of lol. Electric Pianos, organs, clavs, Pianos, and some other stuff.. I love the retro look, especially when I perform with the 2 bands that the artists are all in their 50s and 60s and all they play is music from the 60s and 70s!

Thought about getting the new hammond b3 that is out but the Korg was a little more of everything I wanted and not just that b3 sound. Its amazing, don't get me wrong!! If I had the funds I wouldve bought one as well!

Awesome to see some keys players here. I've been playing since 4 years old!

I've got a Yamaha S90ES. Has great sounds all around. Definitely some B3 sounds in there, and you can create your own sounds as well which is nice

Also PIANOMN, great playing and singing on that vid!

Very cool! The Korg only has "36" sounds, but they are so customizable with the different amps and effects pedals built in. And it's really simple to use. As much as I like the upper keyboards like that Yamaha and some Rolands.... Anymore there is just way too much things that I will honestly never use put into those keyboards!!

Glad to see another keys player representing in the camaro world btw!

Yeah definitely! Sometimes I'll go to Guitar Center just to play around with the different keyboards there and see if there are any new ones that I haven't seen before. I'm still learning how to program sounds on mine, it's a bit overwhelming sometimes but I'm learning! Not sure if you are into Emerson Lake and Palmer since they are heavily keyboard oriented, but I learned the first part of Tarkus a couple summers ago, I really want to learn the rest of it. ELP was one of the biggest inspirations for me to get a better keyboard. I need to post a vid like you did.

I have up to 3:38 learned so far...out of like what, 20 minutes? lol

Nice! Going to music stores and playing with everything usually leads to me spending more money and then getting into trouble with the wife for spending it hahaha. I do make it habit of once a month just cruising the local music stores to see what they have though

Never heard of Tarkus, but sounds pretty good! I'm probably not that good by any means on the piano... Probable why I don't want to mess with earning all the cool things on the cool keyboards lol. My singing usually covers any mistakes in my piano playing, and my piano playing covers the mistakes in my voice I think!

Nope, it's not even of the slightest interest. Perhaps it would be if I were a musician...

Take the Gaming section, that was my idea and it worked; kinda.

My main goal was to get ride of all those dumb thread games that fill up the off topic section but some how they aren't considered "games" and haven't been moved; though if not games, they are really 100% useless
If you think a thread is in the wrong section then report it. It's actually really helpful when people report posts. I know I used to do it all the time and the Mods seemed appreciative

I think I'm the only Mod whose looked at this thread so far, but I could be wrong. Some of them are very sneaky.

I'll bring it up for discussion.

I'd love to see an arts/media section on C5. It's really important for musicians, for artists to interact with other like-minded people. It's hard to come by people that understand how much is really on the line when it comes to artistic endeavors, and that an artist fails 1,000 times for every small victory.

I'm a musician and I've been acting for quite awhile now. I've done small indie productions and parts on feature films/tv, stuff like Treme and whatnot. I'm a writer and have began producing/directing small indie projects for film fests recently.

We do a lot of small projects like the above. It's just the four of us, but we're about to begin operating under a small budget with longer productions. That was shot over the weekend. Does anyone else shoot or act?
