You tell me which is the luxury sports coupe.

Not saying the Camaro's interior is bad by any means...but it doesn't come close to the Cadillac's. The CTS-V Coupe's interior SCREAMS luxury.

I didnt see the hype over this show at all lol the helicopter thing was stupid imo. but i was surprised the viper out performed the lambos.

Ok being a Top Gear junky from way back this new series has 3 strikes against it. There trying too hard to be different but there is alot of lack of originality. All the cars tested have already been done on the British top gear, and tanner foust's other show Battle of the super cars and finally the fat man on the new top gear has got to go! He looks and acts like the bearded gay guy on the modern family sitcom. The original top gear in the UK tried to add a chipper fat guy on there first season in early 2001 prior to the introduction of James May. With that being said that guy's personality on the show went over like a fart in church, and the show suffered and dropped him like a bad habit!! Next week looks a little more promising I hope with the introduction of a challange. If not the show is doomed to be short lived.

That is a good answer and I agree to a certain extent. One can buy a non luxury branded vehicle and get all of the bells and whistles of a luxury branded vehicle. Most being made in the same plant...........................hmmmmmmmmm. LOL!
I feel the term muscle car, luxury sport coupe, sport car, etc etc has less and less meaning as it may have had in the past for obvious reasons.

Yes, the CTS-V is very much so fancy....but has the balls behind it to destroy the stock Camaro. You would think that a luxury sports coupe/sedan/wagon would, compared to a "muscle car", have to forfeit hp/torque for the luxury factors. Its a way faster car and its so much nicer on the inside than our Camaro's. The thing is that Cadillac luxury car, with all those appealing ammenities, takes our muscle car anyday. Cadillac has come a long way, and that car definently deserves respect...its a muscle car, with style.

Just finished watching Top Gear on the History Channel.

I was pleasantly surprised. I am a Brit, living in the Dallas area, so I have lived and breathed the UK Top Gear from it's humble beginnings.

Tonight's show was a 'homage' to Top Gear. I like that the theme tune is the same, as that sets the precedence. The cinematography was very similar indeed, so kudos to the team for that.

Tanner Foust did a commendable job on there both as a presenter and as a driver... his skill set is most definitely the best of the three.

Rutledge Wood came across as a likable guy, a little nervous of his 'Top Gear' gig, but I am sure that his and Tanner's chemistry will evolve.

As for Adam Ferrara, he is an infinitely better choice than Adam Carolla, but at this point, I am still not convinced that he is the right choice for the show. He's dry. Very dry. Have to wait and see how he comes along.

But all in all, for a first show in the series, I am pleasantly surprised, and very glad that I didn't have hide behind the sofa in embarrassment!

I dont think they can ever match the perfect chemistry of the british presenters. Thats like one of those things you couldn't replicate if you tried.

The filmography is great, but the hosts are forgettable and no one really seemed to take the lead. No one seems particularly funny either. With British top gear, You instantly would never forget who Jeremy Clarkson is.

The US show is good..but nothing I saw tonight lived up to even this random 5 minute clip from the British show.
