I guess blaming maintenance is the operators out across all types of manufacturing. I work maintenance in a dairy plant and we get blamed for so much stuff it's rediculous. Just last night we spent 3 hours just getting a machine back in time because the operator thought that it would run better with one of the saftey guards removed and then a bunch of plastic got wrapped around all of the sprockets and jumpped the chains a few teeth. Worst part is you don't know which chain jumpped which way.
