This simply cannot be true.
Maybe it is one of ten countries taken from a list of 1st-world countries. It's just like saying that we get the least paid vacation in the world... like this article here

"Americans get the least paid vacation time in the world - while other countries enjoy as many as FORTY days off a year"

And now let's include a map of all the places we consider countries, highlighted only:

And not only that, it is misleading because many Americans still get plenty of paid vacation days... It is simply not mandated. Let's not forget most of those countries in red, which is supposed to be the plus, pay way more taxes than Americans do. And our economy still kicks all of their economy's asses.

It's also misleading because although they are "legally enforceable" in those countries, it usually isn't enforced in some. For instance... you really think everyone in China takes 10+ paid vacation days? And if they do, would you rather swap paychecks?

Sorry, no more politics from me.

Industrialized countries. I think the average amount of paid vacation days in the US is like 14. Where did you get that map? I sure have been to a lot of "not countries", and have a lot of friends without nationalities lol.

Guess I forgot to link the article. It was just one of those misleading things people fall for all the time

edit
Wait no I didn't, it's hyperlinked.

And it also depends on who you ask, because certain countries refuse to acknowledge other countries as actual gov'ts. Like U.S.

No he is right the US is one of the few countries that doesn't mandate vacation leave. In other countries you are forced to take a holiday and it's illegal to work on Sundays and some places Fridays.

I'm not disputing that, but even if it's a mandate it's not always enforced.

And I could be wrong on this but I remember reading somewhere that certain counties mandate it, but again not 100%. I don't think it was statewide or anything though. Also thought I read that only something like 5-15% of workers don't get paid vacation, so it's not really a huge margin of people, and those jobs are mainly minimum wage/dead-end jobs where you're sort of expected not to stay there too long.

Not that I have anything against mandating it. It would probably be a good thing with very limited downsides. But I doubt it'll happen soon in a country where corporate business has so much power

Did not know it is illegal to work in some countries on Fridays even. That would be fantastic if that was adopted here lol

So I've got about $3,000 to spend on my car. Part of me is saying just put it all towards my payment, but another part of me is saying that is no fun! I'm thinking CAI and exhaust then see what is left.

What would you spend the money on (car related)?

Take half and buy parts, other half either save it in case of a shit hits the fan situation or pay off the loan more.

Best bang for the buck I'd say go headers, intake and a tune. Exhaust on these cars changes the tone really, not much in terms of HP gains.
