The reality is the O-Line wasn't giving Allen any time and the receivers were not getting open all game, including those last 3 plays. They also had a spy on Josh every time he tried to roll out and that didn't allow time for the receivers to break open for JA to find them like they normally do. Hats off to the Texans' DC. They did a great job putting pressure on Josh and wrapping up (in some cases literally) the receivers.
The play calling on that last series was really, really bad. Considering that our defense had held Houston to 6 points since the 1st quarter, why not play for OT when you are backed up inside your 5??? if you run the ball 3 times, even if the Texans call TO, then maybe you push them deeper after the punt, they have no TO's and less time to get into FG range. Just terrible. And not the first time. I hate to be that guy, but the next game...Monday night against the Jets...is a must win. They have to prove that they can win on the road.

I cannot billieve they threw long to Hollings again. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing the same way twice and expecting a different result ![]() McD said he takes full responsibility for the loss at his presser today

#2) Your right I did say that...look at the W/L records of the teams they beat. Good teams do not take 2 turnovers on the offensive side of the field and turn them into FG's at least one has to be a TD. They have work to do... a lot of it.

The Bills will be fine. They almost can't help but win that division.
The question is can they make a run in the playoffs. |

To me the problem appears to be snap counts and targets for the WR's and TE's
Having Shakir out really hurt as he has an almost 100% catch rate yes you read that right 18 of 19 for 230 yds with 2 TD's in 4 games.(Last year his catch rate was 85%) He usually plays 60-70% of snaps not enough for my liking. At the opposite end of the spectrum Mack Hollings 75-85% of snaps 6 catches on 17 targets for 73 yds and 1 TD Does he have photos of the coaches in compromising positions? He can't separate or catch... I thought he was brought in as an ST guy. WTF Kincaid is 15 of 24 for 166yds and 1 TD...thought to be the top target this year by many he has been ordinary. Curtis Samuel..He better be on a milk carton because I haven't seen him. The Bills highest paid WR has 9 catches on 13 targets for 48 yards and zero TD's Is there something in his contract that says only throw to him at or behind the LOS? Scantling 2 of 9 for 26 yds and zero TD's (possible secret plant by Andy Reid to sabotage the offence) Keon Coleman 9 of 16 for 175 and 2 TD's he is just a rookie and will get better (he has the highest yds per catch at 19.4) (only plays 55 to 60% of snaps) Scenario from Bills vs Texans where josh nearly threw a pick to number 0 the MLB. 3rd and 13 and Scantling Samuel and Knox are the only targets downfield and on the field. Where was Coleman? Kincaid? they brought in an extra lineman kept the back in to block(TJ) and Josh got flushed to the right having to throw on the run under pressure. Brady is looking less and less like an offensive genius.

In this "Everybody Eats Offence" its time to starve a few players.
Hollings should get 10-15% of snaps and never on the outside. Scantling should be sent packing and lets give Shavers a shot(he couldn't be any worse) Samuel and Coleman on the outside Shakir at slot and Kincaid should be 80% of snaps. JMHO

Trade target sleeper Jacobi Meyers of the Raiders(I like this) cap hit 3.5m or so can easily fit.
Other possible trade targets not named Devonte Adams (I already covered that long shot)Aamari Cooper the Browns WR restructured so his cap hit is vet minimum Diontae Johnson the Panthers WR cap hit is 4.5m would be very easy to fit

My sources high within the Bills organization tell me the trade talks with the Texans are over. The final offer was Allen, the entire 2025 draft, and a 2027 #1 for Stroud. The Texans almost went for it, but ultimately declined... a decision validated by Sunday's game.
They also tell me they (the Bills) are now turning their attention to the Washington Commanders. |
