Would y'all be referring to the well-loved singer/songwriter Willy Nelson? If so, may I pose my next quote now?

When harassed by the White house news staff the then president answered their most recent query, "The cure for our current economic crisis? Spend!"

Alright, so be it. Now, bring on the NEW QUOTE, tempus fugit, bro.

Please remember that quotes from stories and/or movies are acceptable only when the quote is EVIDENTLY being said by the quote's author. In other words, it's gotta' be clear that the character is a thinly veiled representation of the writer of the book or movie. The example I used earlier of a quote from Poor Richard Almanac: "A stitch in time saves nine." is known to everyone in this country as having been said by Benjamin Franklin.

Since I am not familiar with the author of "Spaceballs", I couldn't say whether the author's quote is CLEARLY BEIUNG SAID BY THE AUTHOR or not. I take your word, of course, that it is. To make me better understand, who is the author responsible for your selected quote?

Ivas was correct with his response. The Dark Helmet quote was tossed out there without answering correctly the prior quote in play.

I saw two quotes thrown out back to back, but it didn't appear that the posters had looked at the first page of thethread to see how the game works...

Ivas' quote is in play, though I am not sure which president it is associated with and there are many options from many eras to go with. Could be recent one, but I am going to go back to an earlier financial crisis and put my wild guess on the New Deal ... FDR.

Kingfish, 1930's, and the South; makes me think of Al Capone's final days in Atlanta/Miami. But I can't imagine him saying, "Every man a king."

The weakest of minds are those which go forward because they are borne along by the throng; the truly strong are accustomed to stand alone, and are not cast down if they find themselves in a minority.
