CRAZY these 5.0's are running 10's with way less then 500whp. Now I know how the vette guys feel when their 470whp vette's put a beat down on Mustangs with 150+ extra whp |

With 400rwhp in a fox body that was setup right, and trust me my car was setup for a straight line, you could run 10s. If Evo is getting 127mph out of the car they could go crazy with the suspension and run that thing deep into the 10s. And I had the heavier hatchback, not a GT though LX. If it was a notch it would have went a little quicker as they weighted 100+ more lbs less if I remember right. And I didn't do anything to save weight in my 5.0. Still had AC and all. About the only weight saving came from wheels, aluminum drive shaft, and aluminum heads. The car looked stock except for wheels and the exhaust was turned down right before the rear axle. |

It's a drivers race, and automatic vs Standard depending who has either or.

Damn that 5.0 has a 4.56 gear, 28 inch slicks plus a 100 shot of nitrous! Thats why it can cut a crazy 1.4 60 ft time !

How many 2010/2011 Mustangs do you see on the roads?
I know it is common for people on this forum to discuss how many Mustangs thy see on the road and how that is a negative for many of them to consider buying one, but how many of the 2010/2011 body-style do you see where you are? I know I see very, very few in my neck of the woods, although I'm sure that will change as more people begin to pick up the new version.
For the record, I probably see as many Camaro's any given day as i do Mustangs, if you count all the generations. Heck, I see more Gen4 F-bodies than I do anything. Last edited by garagelogic; 05-21-2010 at 10:28 PM. |

I don't see that many 10/11 versions yet, but the number has been steadily increasing, and I'll see maybe one or two 4th gen camaro's per week

I don't see too many of the 2010/11 Mustangs, but then again I'm in an area where the "normal" car to have are exotic imports. I can count all the 2010 Camaros I've seen here on two hands, and the same can be said for the '10/'11 Stangs.

I've only seen 1 2010 in the last couple months. I saw many in Yellowstone Park last summer, but they were rentals. (Interestingly, the popular rental car out there changes every year...one year it was Honda Elements).
You can blame the lack of 2010's on Ford. The new for 2011 engines and transmissions were the worst kept secrets in Detroit last year, so all the Ford guys have been holding out. (Plus, the 2010 Camaro crushed the 2010 Mustang, so all the no brand loyalty guys when almost unanimously for the Camaro). 2011 will be more even.
