Yes, we practice with what we shoot. Yes, we shoot a lot. Yes, you are welcome. Yes, you can take off your tinfoil hat.
What is your duty pistol?

So I had a problem with my used ria 1911 gi stove piping last week at the range, I stripped it down and cleaned the crap out of it and didn't over oil it when I put it back together, While i was thinking about it I stopped at the local gun store and grabbed a wilson combat 17 lb recoil spring and man it feels like an entirely different gun just from racking the slide.
Someone suggested getting a wolff springs set for it and just replace everything but I can't find a set for it online, Not sure what I should be looking for as nothing shows up for a ria.

I've had a full size RI for a year or so now, very dependable, and my go-to pistol for home use, with a light/laser on the tac-rail. It's been 100% dependable with everything I throw at it... factory loads, and light & heavy reloads. Love it!

That spring may be all it needed... I personally wouldn't get too deep into modding a R.I.... it's cheaper to buy it already upgraded. If you do, aftermarket 1911 Colt & variants parts should work fine.

Shoot it and enjoy it for what it is, but that's just me

Yea I'm sure it would be cheaper I'm just playing with what I had, I read somewhere it was a colt clone but wasn't sure if I should just try colt parts or what.

When I get some money to burn I'm going to see about driving up to wilson combat and having them custom fit a 1911 for me.
