Hey everybody! I'm Steve (or Scuba, or Scuba Steve or whatever combination...). I'm a member of g6performance.com so obviously I got myself a 2007 Pontiac G6 coupe. Love it to death!

I am however falling for this damned Camaro. Wow it's incredible! So I figured I'd join here and keep up with the updates to see where its going. I've had the G6 for almost a year and a half, and still have a few to pay the thing off. I'm HOPING I'll hang on to it long enough to do that, but who knows with this new Camaro.

Hit me up if anyone is on the G6 site. Same username there so drop me a PM if you stop by. Check out my sig for links to that site and my cardomain.

Thanks and hello.

Smile Allow myself to introduce... myself...

I didn't see a formal introduction thread anywhere, so I'll do it here. I'm somewhat of a forums vet and find it rude to just start posting without introducing myself. So, without further hesitation...

My name is Jesse and I'm 27 years old. I'm a sergeant in the active duty U.S. ARMY currently in Afghanistan, but stationed at Fort Riley, Kansas. I'm going through a divorce, but it's not real nasty and I'll be able to see my kids freely. I'm a proud conservative Republican and read there is a nice thread for that around here somewhere.

I decided to get a new Camaro as soon as I saw the first pics. I wanted to wait for the ragtop, but I've run into more money than expected by this point and it's now realistic for me to get a coupe at launch. I'll have my order as soon as it's available, but haven't decided on all my options.

This will be my first Camaro, but not my first Chevy. In fact, all of my personal cars have been Chevys except my last. I truly felt my grandfather roll in his grave when I bought my 2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder. Both my grandfather and uncle retired from GM. Every one of my parents' cars were Chevrolet, even to this day. My mother's first car was a Camaro, though I don't remember what year she told me. Needless to say... it runs in the blood.

So, here I am. I love great forum communities and hope to contribute as I can. I also have a pretty good sense of humor, so feel free to have fun around me.

Good thing you have a good sense of humour (canadian), just look up shunt and you'll find out why. Welcome to the site.

Glad to have you, and thank you for everything you've done for us. The inportant thing is that you realized how awesome this GM vehicle is and are coming back to us from the "dark side"(Japanese vehicle). What model Camaro are you planning on getting?

Thanks for all the appreciation. ...........

ctk1, I plan on getting the V-6 RS. As much as that may miff enthusiasts, I can't justify the price and gas difference when the base engine offers over 300hp at 25mpg est. I have yet to decide on paint, but pretty sure I want the stripes. Maybe this site can help me decide in the next few months.
