The religious rites were conducted on the deck of the USS Carl Vinson in the Arabian Sea, with the ceremony starting at 1:10 a.m. and finishing at 2:10 a.m. ET, according to a senior Defense official.
"The body was washed and placed in a white sheet. A military official read prepared remarks, which were then translated into Arabic by a native speaker, The body of Osama bin Laden was placed on a flat board, which was then tipped up, and allowed to slide into the sea," the official said.

Anything can be faked these days. I want to believe it ,but I would like to see some hard evidence.

You're right, can't fake a DNA test. But you can fake the fact that it happened. But I suppose the CIA and senior administration officials never lied to anyone before right....

Not trying to be all "conspiracy theory" here, but at least we got the chance to see Saddam live in the courtroom before he was hung. Aside from some "official" reports and a grainy photo that has popped up and now quickly disappeared from the 'net, there is nothing to substantiate the claim that it was indeed him that was killed by the SEALS.

The moment I subscribe to the theory that the Obama administration is lying to us about his death is the moment I start believing the conspiracy theories about 9/11 being caused by the government/Bush....what purpose would it serve to lie about finding him now? He could have been dead all these years and no one would have been the wiser....

There are a few reasons off the top of my head why they could possibly fake it now, but there is really no need to get into that as it is really a moot point. I don't believe they are lying to us in any major way (details could be fudged, but that is always the case with any government), but I would just find all this more, well not believable, but having more closure if we could actually see the body.

Kinda like at a funeral, when the family needs to see the body in the casket to have that last bit of closure.
