If i had my way Scott's Camaro would be in his driveway , unfortunately i don't have that type of pull. But rest assured it has left the plant and very shortly they'll be cruising the streets somewhere in Alabama with the tunes a playing and big smiles on their face's.

And fyi its snowing here in Oshawa/Whitby with the temp setting at 0.... So much for spring !! You all could be freezing your butts off here tonight.

Thank you Scott! We are all eagerly awaiting the day we pick up our beloved Camaros, myself very much included. But the wait can be fun too, and it makes that blessed day all the more exciting when it arrives.

ditto Scott's thoughts. somehow in the past 20 years, we've allowed a sense of artificial urgency take control of our lives. just remember back in the 1960's, all manufacturers released the next year's models over a 2 week period in September. period. paragraph. no mid-year releases, limited options, etc., etc., etc.

the line is running. if you have a order code, you have a car somewhere in the stream. fret over how to fund your 10-20% down payment and let's all move on patiently.

WE can hardly wait to read your posts once you get your Camaros --

I want to PERSONALLY see the "perma-grin" on your faces........

BUT.........................

We will simply not deliver a new Camaro before they are exactly right.

See-- the problem is that any time a new vehicle is introduced -- there are issues that must be worked thru with suppliers ......and there are issues with electronics -- and there are things we look at that just don't seem 'right' -- and this goes for ANY manufacturer ---

........and so these cars are being looked at VERY closely - and we're taking our time to ensure that they are the best they can possibly be.

It makes it worse in that you have sites like this that give you updates by the hour! No car or truck has ever had this much 'ballyhoo' -- ever! -- even before the car hits the streets!...

One person (can't remember if it was this site or not) -- said "....well SHIP THEM ANYWAY -- at least I can drive it until it has to go to the dealer..."

God love him -- but that is EXACTLY the wrong thing to do ........

So -- I beg you -- please -- have patience.

If I can go thru what I've gone thru -- and the men and women on the Camaro team can go thru what they've gone thru -- and THOSE OF YOU -- who have remained faithful since August of 2002 can wait this long - another week or two is small change........

TRULY -- we want to get these Camaros in your Garages.........

(....and besides -- all that muscle in one place is DANGEROUS.......especially if you are from an 'Equine' family......)

Believe me guys, the entire automotive world is looking at the Camaro...and if GM screws this up...well, game over.

GM has a number of products coming into production...and every single product launched needs to be absolutely flawless.
