Quite honestly I think it would've been able to work out if they tried to get it in in the morning. I know that may sound stupid. But that's the only way they could've gotten it in today.

Sometimes they bump up the starting time for lesser races. I doubt they do it for the 500.

I didn't think they would either. It'd be too hard to get the word out to even half the crowd. A lot of people leave before 7 AM.

We were doing great until the last 6 miles. It took us over an hour to get through that.

Usually it does. I was at Charlotte the year Earnhardt Jr won the All Star race. I got trapped in the infield until 4 AM because the crowd collasped the pedestrian bridge.
