Awesome! Don't forget

after you get them finished.

Anyone see the new toys to be imported from Israel this Spring? Looks tempting!

It's the IWI Tavor SAR. It accepts M-16/AR-15 mags.

Apparently, they're going to offer conversion kits to convert the rifle from .223/5.56 NATO to 5.45x39mm and 9mm later this year.

Do you grip the mag? Is that the trigger in front of it? I just... don't like it.

That is the mag release. The trigger is much more forward.

Initially higher, any of these are a great option. They also hold better value than a modified factory action. Factory action can be pretty pricey after mods as well.

Factory action is hard to find, and if you do, it likely won't be as cheap as you'd think it should be.

If you're set on a factory action, either buy an inexpensive 700 and re-barrel it or you can try gunbroker.

It's a bullpup design. The purpose is to shorten up the overall length by moving the chamber and barrell back into the stock and make it more maneuverable.

Similar in concept to the Steyr AUG:

And the FAMAS:

The pistol grip is moved in front of the magazine and the spent casings eject over your right shoulder. The problem with these designs, however, is that a left-handed shooter cannot use a right-handed gun, and vice versa without at least changing the bolt first...

But, I wouldn't mind having a Tavor, but at $2000 I will have to wait a bit

It's all good. I like bullpup style rifles, so I like how it looks.

...and as stated by another person, the trigger looking thing in front of the magazine is the mag release. The angle on the picture that posted wasn't a great angle of the rifle.

I wish they would come out with a civilian legal FAMAS, that would be sexy!

The MSAR STG (Aug look-alike) and the Tavor can be changed easily so left-handers can use it more comfortably. The only thing on the MSAR STG that cannot be changed is the charging handle. According to IWI's website, the Tavor can be changed over easily for left-handed shooters including the charging handle, only thing you have to purchase seperately is a left-hand bolt.

Meh. The FAMAS would be cool to have in a collection, but if you planned on actually shooting it, you better not use brass casings...at least, not if you plan on reloading any of them

Well, at least I can get an Airsoft FAMAS if I absolutely need a FAMAS to add to the collection that wouldn't be fired.
