Wow!! I didn't know I had it, but just looked. That intake looks nice sitting on top!

It is a PITA to take on and off but it looks pretty good..It is polished aluminum and maybe one day I will have it chromed but for now getting it running is the main point.

Little More done.........

Got the seat brackets finally figured out.......We got 2 finished and sat the seat in the truck to check the height and all seemed good......Matt is going to finish up the other two brackets today and we will mount the seats in the truck tonight.

There are still several things we need to do while we are waiting on the parts to arrive so in the next couple of days we will get all that taken care of.....Most of it is not really big thing but simply checking over to make sure things are done.

We know have the drivers side seated mounted. We also have the linkage from the air cleaner installed.

Matt is making the seat brackets today and we will be installing them tomorrow morning and hopefully finishing up the things we need to be able to give it a test drive.........Hopefully

Oh Pics will be coming just not much to show right now since pretty much everything is torn apart........

Our plan is to get everything doe mechanically and add everything I want to the truck....Then I will drive it for about 2k miles then tear is apart to have it painted.

I have some things that will have to be done before the paint or maybe during the paint...just not real sure how to do it yet...but I will have a center console made along with a speaker enclosure for behind the seat.....I am thinking now that the speaker enclosure will be covered in leather and the center console will be painted to match.......Not real sure now just have to get some ideas.....

I have been told that most good stereo shops can do the enclosure and console pretty easily but I have to get it running so that I can take it around and get estimates on it.

Well finally got some info on my parts...Summit is really sad...I ordered the stuff 2 weeks ago because it was in stock and would ship "Today" well that really wasn't the truth.

But after a few phone calls out of the kindness of their hearts the decided to have the parts shipped overnight and they will deliver today or at least that is what the tracking number says.

We got the cold start issue resolved last night and now it fires up on the first turn of the key...Kinda hard to get that accomplished since it has to be cold to see if the changes worked but we now have it fixed and idling.

Got some of the final wiring done...The headlights are wired up and I will be installing the grill tonight.

Gonna do some cosemtic work on the seat brackets and get those installed....Hopefully the parts I bought arrive today and we will be able to get them installed tonight......Transmission linkage is kinda important to have before a test drive I could be wrong

We dont really have alot to do....wire horn, turn signals and fan on the front end....Put in 2 grease fittings, weld the bumper brackets plus the parts I have coming and that is pretty much it until we test drive it to make sure everything is good mechanically.

Then I will at least be able to drive it around and get estimates for the interior, stereo system and paint work but at least I will be driving.

I still have some other things that I will be doing once everything is working...I am going to have to fix the rear bumper...it is not to my liking...Plus the grille, air cleaner, park lamp bezels and rear bumper have to be re-chromed.......

My ultimate plan is to have it completely finsihed by 2013 Mr Hyde will turn 50 yr old next yr.

So we are keeping on keeping on.

Yeah Summit said the helmet I wanted was in stock as well. Just like you found out, I found out it wasn't in stock and won't ship until September. Doesn't do me much good for next week.

So I'm without helmet. And that sucks.
