Yep. And the fact that it had either a candy or pearl coat on it boosted the price; she only had to pay for the supplies and not the labor.

If I get one before I graduate, or still have the availability of a spray/bake, I could do it myself being trained as an A&P and painting a plane is as difficult or more difficult than painting a show car..

Mind you in different ways (keeping weight down and having a show finish)..but it is tough. Loving that Irish Green/Midori Green from that palate, DIC.

yea, thats the only thing detering me from getting a 2 tone is price

I know from experience.. two tone jobs are PITAs. Laying the borders is one thing, getting it right..

Good god..

Not to mention your average auto paint from Dupont, by the gallon, can run $300+ on the low end. Not to mention the other additives you have to add to the paint..

on second thought

aqua blue is a nice color

for 6 k i could get a ton of performance mods

but i still like to go a little different then the crowd so i might get some stripes

Yeah. Essentially painting a plane in Aqua Blue right now. Dupont invoice for the paint and additives made me shit a house.

Good news was that everything was on the University's dime.. which meant free lunches. But no alcohol or Camaros.. unfortunately. A wonderful thing called spending limits..
