So yesterday I looked up plasti-dipping my engine bay.. My first thought was it might be too hot, but apparently other people have done it too

Sorry everyone if that's considered off topic, nit sure what is and what isn't lol.

Kind of ironic that one of the current topics is the exhaust options because I was talking today with a friend about getting the mrt 2 exhausts in couple months but for now I have straight pipe. So the mrt 2 is my next best option? I mean I like the straight pipe sound personally but sometimes I miss the smoother sound. Main Point I want a deeper sound, like the sound I currently hear on start up, but smoother when Im punching it on the highway.

Generally speaking most people like the V2s the best. If you want something louder the V1 is a better option. Personally I love my V2s. They are not to loud, deep, and sound awesome at WOT. I have gotten nothing but compliments from them

Hm, what color would you be going with? I mean Ive seen it on a couple cars when I was doing research before plastidipping my old car, You said others have done it, does that mean its good to go far as high temps? With as simple as it can be to remove I could see it not lasting very long there. Eh I dont honestly know though.

Alright. Yea I was originally looking at the mrt 2. Did you did you add anything else to change the sound of yours? I saw it for 527 shipped. Is that about as cheap as Im going to find it?

Not sure yet.. I want to do an accent color on my car, just gotta pick one lol. I was thinking a green maybe, or blue I'm guessing so.. I read about it in a thread also.. I'll post the link here in a sec. Yeah that's what I was thinking.. My biggest fear is doing something permanent and not liking it lol.

Side note: I saw everybody complaining about the lounge being moved to off topic, I mean I just keep it open in a separate tab so all I have to do is click refresh and catch up with what I've missed. Or just bookmark it. No biggie. But I mean if its move makes it harder for new members to find it then I guess that could be a bit annoying.

Oh okay. Well, your biggest fear is hardly relevant luckily since Plastidip is pretty easy to remove, even with like 6 coats. I mean the stuff for sure will last but if you dont like it its easy enough to remove with rubbing alcohol ( well, that what I did the the one time I redid the rims of my last car). Which now that I think about it, kinda melted it, from what it looked like. But i mean maybe since its not like direct heat the paint will be fine?
