You do feel more open in a vert, but you have a little more privacy with T-Tops. AND, even in bad weather, you can still see out! Not to mention when you when you don't want to be opened up. I would always take T-Tops over a Vert just because of that!!! Damn it, my old T/A isn't running up to par right now either!!!

I've driven a few verts and they're nice and all, but the t-tops are hard to beat. I think t-tops look better than the tops on the newer verts. With all the new safety regs and stuff the tops look horrible when they're up. Even driving with the t-tops on is still a lot more fun than a coupe. With the glass t-tops it just feels bigger and brighter inside. I sat in a Z28 the same year as mine without the t-tops and it feels totally different inside. It feels like your all closed up. The only trouble is when your traveling and have stuff in your trunk (like going to C5F). I wish I could have taken them off but I had all my stuff back in the trunk. Its also fun to sit in the rain at night and lean the seat back and listen/watch the rain hit the roof. It's pretty relaxing actually... It sure beats driving this thing in the rain... I had to do it last weekend at night and with the low beams on... you couldn't see squat.

one more plus with t-tops over a vert.... my cousin had a 99 mustang convertible. Someone slashed his roof to try to get inside.... ended up not getting in and just making a big hole in the roof.

I still have my '83 T/A, but it does need attention. What did you have?

yup, ever since I got my garage door fixed and the camaro has been inside... I've had the t-tops on twice since then. Once because I went to dinner somewhere (not the best neighborhood) and locked it up tight and set the alarm. And then last weekend when it rained for like 5 days straight. Its still filthy from driving that day. I just quickly hosed it off the other day. I think I might wash it as soon as we get a day without rain. Right now its resting peacefully in the garage with the t-tops off. It sure is nice just to drive out with them off and not have to worry about taking them off.

It is great so long as you don't have any critter that can get inside there. Hey, if you're going to keep that car, start buying replacement parts for it!!! Don't get caught with you pants down like I did with my old '83! In fact, stockpile 'em!!!

lol, I might just do that. Atleast the engine in mine is a pretty popular engine. Right now I'm looking at getting atleast a dash (and maybe an extra). The 4th gen dashes are notorious for cracking. Mine is included in that . What kinds of parts are you looking for on your 83?
