Where there's smoke, there's fire. BB already has proven himself a cheater, and the NFL -did- punish you guys because of that.

Here's the rule for who controls the balls.

"The home club shall have 36 balls for outdoor games and 24 for indoor games available for testing with a pressure gauge by the referee two hours prior to the starting time of the game to meet with League requirements. Twelve (12) new footballs, sealed in a special box and shipped by the manufacturer, will be opened in the officials’ locker room two hours prior to the starting time of the game. These balls are to be specially marked with the letter "k" and used exclusively for the kicking game."

We will find out more, of course. Simply put, BB put himself in this situation for his past cheating deeds. Considering he hasn't won for a while, maybe he considers cheating the only way to win a Super Bowl.

If you don't want to get accused of cheating, don't cheat.

BB is a very good coach. He is, however, a scummy human being.

So do you consider PED's cheating or is that ok?

...if anyone thinks that the New England Patriots are the only team in the present-day NFL that has spied on other teams, used rules to advantage, shaded the rules, taken advantage when it was available, and been as opportunistic as was humanly possible, then it is certain that the person in question is naive.

The NFL is ultra-competitive. Any and all edges are grasped by all teams. The Pats got caught in the past. This is the only difference.

Regarding last nights' game, I've read the arguments and the reasons and the speculations. I've read about weighing the balls. I've read that the refs got the balls from the Pats (apparently exclusively).

A few points to consider-

Refs have pressure gauges. Why would they weigh the ball to determine pressure?

The ideal gas law seems to suggest that a very minute change in weight would be present in any 'deflated' ball that would not be obviously under-inflated to the touch or by eye, in any case.

Why did the same ball that was hard to grip right on-target sometimes and not in others? Chance? Same reason that the interceptions were made?

Just how would the league determine this circumstance now?

A pro with experience of many thousands of times interacting with the same pressure ball wouldn't notice the difference in play with a deflated one?

On what grounds were this complaint made to the league?

Chancellor.....isn't juicing, really...he isn't, and as far as coaches, Carrol left USC in good shape.

Here is a quote from you article on the Pats big cheating scandel by recording the other coaches from the wrong locations. It's not against the rules to record them just where you can record them from. he was fined so heavily for pissing in the leagues face after the memo was sent out.

Quote from article you posted.

NFL rules state "no video recording devices of any kind are permitted to be in use in the coaches' booth, on the field, or in the locker room during the game." They also say all video for coaching purposes must be shot from locations "enclosed on all sides with a roof overhead."
That was re-emphasized in a memo sent Sept. 6 to NFL head coaches and general managers. In it, Ray Anderson, the league's executive vice president of football operations, wrote:"Videotaping of any type, including but not limited to taping of an opponent's offensive or defensive signals, is prohibited on the sidelines, in the coaches' booth, in the locker room or at any other locations accessible to club staff members during the game."

Memo on September 6th, game on September 9th pats get caught taping where they were just told not to that's why the league hammered them.

Can't take these guys seriously, they grasp at any chance they can to justify their inferiority,
