But this is why I paid the big bucks for a Pioneer Elite 60" years ago when there was no 1080p content. It's still good now.

It also has a cool feature that most don't have anymore and that's a cable card slot. No need for the box w/ menus and all coming through the cable. Split screen for Cable on one side and DTV on the other. Too bad cable cards are a thing of the past, but the laws keep them alive if you can find a TV w/ a slot.

Just bought a 55" LED Vizio and a 55" LED Samsung. I was an early adopter of HD as well (the TV didn't even have HDMI or 1080P since it didn't exist). It was a 50" Sony Grand Wega that lasted me up until a year ago when the lamp and color generator went.

But that's what I mean, you're gunna get a bigger tv then you have now, if you get the Sony 65" 4k it's a ton cheaper the those 85" and the picture quality won't get lost with the color or being stretched that big

The TRILUMINOS in the Sony tv makes a world of difference
