Great! I have a new v6 1LT RS. I am just now getting to know everything about it. I will post a picture of the Victory red with black stripes soon. I really love it.
I want the car louder, I am already reading about the exhaust packages!

No, I'll either be doing an ss bumper with a filled in mailslot and the new t4 ports they have or the zl1 bumper

Why do you want the SS mail slot if you're just going to fill it in? IMO the mail slots with the insert look terribad.

I don't want the ss mailslot. I want the more aggressive look, the nicer lower lip, and the wider choice of splitters on an ss bumper. I also agree that the inserts look terrible and that's why I'll be getting it professionally filled in by a shop

I had a chance to get an SS front, already in my color (which is pretty damn rare as is) with a GM front GFX for a cheap price. Passed up on the deal for a few reasons...one being I didn't want the mailslot either. Considered buying the insert but wasn't too sure about it. I didn't want the gfx so I could have just sold that and made back most of the money spend on the entire thing, but was afraid of the damage that might be caused by removing it.

Now that I look back, I think I may have made a mistake passing up on it. I really really want a bumper like the SS with no mailslot. I can't believe no company out there hasn't done this already when there was a huge demand for it.

As for splitter options on the V6...I really love the GM Dusk splitter for the V6. I saw that and thought to myself "finally a good looking V6 splitter". But the cost is ridiculous so I doubt I'll be getting it.

At this point I already have the heritage grille and the Street Scene lower ducts/grille so I like it very well. Just want a damn splitter lol.

To be honest, I don't know if you made a mistake or not just because removing that splitter would have left u with holes running along the bottom edge of the bumper. So if u didn't like the splitter, you did the right thing.

I agree though, I don't see how other companies haven't built a bumper without a mailslot.

I'm going to be picking something soon because I really need the bumper. You wouldn't believe how bad mine is right now. Rock chips everywhere.
