I am going to post my theory on Ewoks here, because I absolutely LOATHE the idea of Ewoks. They were marketed for Toys. So bear with me while I go through this, and see what you think.

Ewoks are not cute and cuddly. In fact, Ewoks don't exist. Ewoks are actually Wookies who have the ability to use the Force.

There is no way Ewoks could have won on Endor. Seriously, did you actually believe that Ewoks won that battle, or did you pretty much curl up into a ball at the incongruity of it?

Why do you think Chewbacca, who is known to rip the arms off things got along so well? Ewok - Wookie - even the names are similar. And, if you were a force using race of Wookies who would be hunted by the emporor, you'd generally hide somewhere after what happened to all the Jedi's.

I mean really - when someone see's a wookie "ewok", all he needs to do is -wavehand- "I'm just a cute cuddly teddy bear that George Lucas can market". And you go about your way thinking they are small, cute and cuddly.

I'd go on with the many facts that support this...but I'll leave you to discuss this theory.
