Not so fast... The LS engines are 1-8-7-2-6-5-4-3, same as non -Coyote Modular Fords... The new 5.0 is 1-5-4-8-6-3-7-2. The fact of the matter is, the Ford has a more conventional Muscle car derived exhaust setup than corresponding years of LS stuff, and yeah, IMO it (Mustang)does sound better in stock configuration.

Alas, Stock sucks... And I only have a vague recollection of what they sounded like when they were stock.

BTW, the sound that the exhaust makes isn't noise...it's music.

For what it's worth, I haven't 'buzzed' anyone in the week I've had my GT, nor have I any plans to do so in the future.

Also, if anything, I think the 2011 is TOO quiet, at least on the inside. Fortunately, popping the hood, pulling out a plastic tube and yanking out two offending pieces of foam, then reinstalling said tube fixes that complaint quite nicely.

Now, as for loud and rude, how about getting a BLAP-BLAP-BLAP!!!! wake-up call from your neighbor's Harley at 3 a.m. as he's coming home from god-knows-where, and you have go to work in 2 hours.

Amen to that one, brother... My idiot neighbors will call the Sheriff each and every time I get my car out to load it on the trailer in the middle of the afternoon, yet ignore the Harleys and their 45 horsepower and 140 Db at 3 AM every night of the week.
