I'm in. I don't see a problem with having a sub-section for this.

I'm not that into guns but I voted yes. Only drawback I could see is that if you create a firearms forum, other people might want subforums for any topic important to them. Then it becomes a question of how you can fairly decide what topic deserves its own subforum.

We have a shooting crew at work and shoot at a local indoor firing range at lunch about every other week. My newest is a FN 5.7 pistol, shoots a 5.7 x 28mm round that is wicked, very accurate and flat and can punch through alot of stuff (even level III body armor with the right round), also light even with the 20 round clip. Just one of many, I love to shoot.

I'm in. I don't have any pics of them but I'll take some soon. In the meantime heres a pic showing me shooting one of mine and another of mine in the background.

What I'm shooting is my Mossberg 500VR 12 gauge and the one in the background is my Remington 597 .22LR. The mossberg is a great one, the remington tends to like to be picky on which ammo it wants to cycle and likes to be clean. One plus on the .22 is I got a couple 30 round banana clips for it that are just too much fun

I like the idea but then again this is a camaro forum. So unless we're talking about how to mount a 50 cal to the sun roof I don't think it fits. I do like guns though. Planning on picking up a G17 soon. Eventually I'd like a nice 1911 but to get a nice one it's gonna be more than I want to spend right now.

I used a Glock 17 during the last shooting course I went through. I really liked that gun. I'm gonna get another .45 for my next gun though. I used to own an HK 45 USP that I loved to pieces. I think I'm going to pick up a new HK45.

My other guns are a Smith & Wesson M & P 15, a Mosin-Nagant M44, and a Huglu .12 gauge over/under.

I LOVE MY AR! It's mostly stock, but I have an Aimpoint M4 red dot on it. Planning on adding rails and a bipod.

I'm definitely into vintage mil surplus guns. I have a C & R license as well. Anyone else have one?

My gun wishlist:

Dragunov or Czech/Romanian variant (real dragunov's are REALLY hard to find) Chinese Norinco would be even cooler.
M1 Garand
Nazi K98 Mauser
Mosin-Nagant 91/30 sniper
HK45
Springfield Armory M21
Pump action shotgun (haven't decided which yet)
AK-47

I have two Kimber Customs (Eclipse II and Covert II) and they're amazing. Both are .45 and the Covert II (my conceal) has a laser sight. I think they would be better for most because you have a safety on it, which will give you peace of mind.

I also have a Desert Eagle .44 Mag, but that's a little big to carry around, it's more of a conversation piece then anything...lol.

Safety is a BIG plus!

Gratz, use the rest of the forum for that then. This is the OFF TOPIC section, meaning we don't really have to talk about cars here.

If you want something small, the new Taurus TCP or Ruger LCP in .380 are perfect.
Yes, get a Glock. The safety in the Glock is your finger. Basically don't point the gun at anything or anybody unless your willing to pull the trigger.

Glock was my first choice, my first handgun, but I had trepidations when I carried it. I like having one in the hole, but I couldn't bring myself to do so without an external safety. Now, when I pull the Covert II out after carrying it all day, I'm not worried because I can see, feel, and know my safety is on.
