Depends on if you need to haul something, which is really their only use as they are so light n the rear end they can suck worse then a car unless it 4x4 or AWD or ya gotta load of stone back there.

Trucks aren't meant to be good looking or "fun." They're meant to serve a purpose and do a job.

Now fellas don't be hatin'. Not all of us diesel guys are like that. Yes some are I wil agree but not all. It is all in how much money you want to spend and on what type of vehicle. My truck is mostly stock but it usually makes peoples jaws drop. It runs good for what it is but there are tons of trucks that would put me to shame. I have never went to the track with mine but have always wanted to see what she would do. I recently shocked a guy in a newer mustang whose words were "I never expected that truck to run that hard". Now I'm not trying to start a war so please don't take it that way. I'm just saying that the diesel trucks have really come a looonnnnggggg way in the performance department. I really get a kick out of taking people for a ride and seeing their responses. If you ever get a chance to ride in one I would highly recommend it and then drink a cold one and make fun of one another. I will agree though there are some guys that do need taken down a few notches but they are everywhere not just the ones driving diesels. I do think you did the right thing by telling him to put up or shut up. That usually tells the whole story right there.

I like trucks too.

There are stupid truck drivers, just like there are stupid car drivers.

and there are cool truck drivers just like there are cool car drivers.

What I really hate is those Ricers!!!!

Nah, just kidding.

I'm gonna have to say that even if I were to get a truck I would get a Ford cause I heard they are the most reliable, best in class and for value trucks.

I could never be without a truck in the garage. I love my Camaro, but there are just some places it will never go, so for those days I have my 04 Ram 2500 Hemi with a 3" Suspension System by Kore, 35" tires, and more mods that most won't care about. It's fast for a truck running 35" tires, but it sure isn't a speed demon. But I didn't build it for speed, I built it for towing the boat, pulling the hay trailer, and going to the woods.

Look up the reliability of the Power Stroke then reevaluate that statement. There is only one diesel I would ever own, and it’s the CTD (Cummins Turbo Diesel). Chevy has a great thing with the Allison Transmission, that thing is pretty amazing, and I’d love to see it mated with a CTD.

LOL you heard wrong. That 6.2 may be OK, we'll see after a few years, but the 5.4 wasn't really competitive. Ford kept having to do major redesigns of their diesels every 3 or 4 years because they didn't cut it either. Maybe they'll have better luck with this one. They had really nice interiors though- that must count for something, right?

The nice interior makes it easier to wait for the tow truck

Eh. I'm partial to GM's trucks of course, but I don't think you can go wrong with any of the Big 3's trucks.

This, on the other hand...

Hehe, I've gotta be careful- I think truck disputes get even more heated than muscle car disputes . I like the Raptor. There- I said something nice about a Ford truck.
