His posts are absolutely laughable. The Animal Sciences program here at Ohio State is chock full of farmers from Southeastern Ohio. None of them share his attitude, dogs are as much a part of the family as they are work animals, and you can bet they wouldn't just allow their animals to leave without searching everywhere for them.

And for the record, carrion is NOT healthy for a domesticated dog. Coyotes yes, wolves, yes, your backyard Golden Retriever, no.

So they gave me some pain medication for him to take. The next few days he can't climb steps or jump down from anything and take it easy. Thanks everybody for the good advice. Yes, I'm an animal lover since my chances of having kids are about 2%. I treat snickers like he's my son. I received him as a gift from a co-worker 3 years ago when my dog passed on and I truly appreicate his presence.
Good news, and a great piece of mind, congrats on the positive diagnosis!

Another Update

My dog is a lil shit! I come home from work! He comes rollin up the steps and starts jumping on me! I then open up the door and he goes running down the damn street. I don't know if he was playing games with me about me hurt but he is definately acting like his normal self once again I'm happy he's all healed since I'm already stressed out from finals week and don't need any more pressure in my life! I'm starting to think maybe he got stung by a bee on the bottom of his paw since fractured tendons would take ALOT more time to heal:(

Good to hear he's feeling better. I would keep him rested for just a bit longer though, it might just be the pain meds working.

You could try throwing it in with his food or a treat or using Pill Pockets.

Our dogs are as part of the family as anyone. We have a golden and yellow lab. They are AWESOME and they are my best buds. The attitude "they are just dogs" really bothers me. The abuse that animals suffer on a daily basis is just sickening. Letting dogs run free is just irresponsible and saying yeah just shoot them if they get into your stuff is WTF??? It's your fault they would get shot. If people can't devote the time and love to having animals, PLEASE do not get a one. It is not fair to them at all. Stacy, I am glad your little doggy is doing better.

Dogs have always been a part of my family.. My Westie terrier mix was born 10/01/1994
and is now close to 16 years old still chases rabbits and is quite active, Take your dog to the vet regularly and you'll be rewarded with years of companionship and love...

That's great news, as for big brunsy does anybody else think that he's one of them comedians that tries to impersonate a redneck. Otherwise how would a redneck or hill billy have enough money for a 2010 camaro?

Soooo

My dog is being a lil shit again! I took him out this morning and he decided to run all the way around the house and I had to go chase him with my boxer shorts and t-shirt in 40 degree weather:( I ran over to Starbucks this morning and he scared the guy by barking soo much he dropped my donughts. He made him quiet by giving him a whole cup of whipped cream He had a few licks but I just threw out the rest. My dog is definately feeling like himself once again
