actually in the Top Gear Z drag race the 280 was barely beat by the 350 (about a fender or so) and a second generation 300 twin turbo blew away the 350. a Silverado should be able to beat a 240, 260 and unfortunately a first gen 300:( (what can i say 80's=little power). hopefully the new 370 can beat the 300

I like it inside and out.

350hp 3.7L V6. Much less torque than an LS3, though.

They are lowering the curb weight by approx. 200lbs. compared to the 350Z.

And it even meets all safety regulations - huh. It can be done.

Around 3000lbs is the 370Z weight guesstimate.

Comes out around the same time as the Camaro.

It's going to cost a pretty penny more than the 350z, though...I read a starting price of 32-34k?

I read it may start at $35000. But, that comes with 350hp, pulling 3000lbs.

I still want my torque high (like a canival), though.

I don't know if you remember but, I drove a Infiniti G37 and it is a great car.

But, I kept shamelessly mashing the accelerator to the floor, and couldn't even manage a smile. 330hp, just not enough torque.

Corvette with LS3 is like having an amusement park at your personal disposal.

Camaro SS is going to be a blast to drive. Walk around with a stupid grin - fun. Happy to be alive smiles. Drive, just to drive.

I think it looks fantastic. Then again, I am very partial to that kind of roofline and side-window shape since it reminds me of second-gen f-bodys. I'd have no problem owning this 370Z when they come out, but I'd still take the new Camaro over it. Especially if its starting pricetag is really what I've heard out of this thread.

Yeah, what with that AMA-ZA-ZING 0-60 time of 5.7 seconds (as tested). Here's a newsflash for you: My 5000 pound Trailblazer SS can run with a 350 Z and I have an extra oh 1500 pounds... They aren't the "super car" that you're making them out to be; especially when it's a wanna be club racer fanboy driving them (not saying you're that guy ). Just saying that you shouldn't be so quick to judge a truck, especially when it's stoplight to stoplight versus a torqueless wonder.

STOP DISSING THE 350Z!!!!!
Its a phenomenal car..... It feels much more powerful than it actually is. Maybe Nissan underrated the engine like they did with the GT-R. I am positive the 350Z would obliterate the V6 Camaro around any track. Around a very tight and twisty track, it could be comparable to an SS.

Anyway, the 370Z is a very good looking car IMO. I actually think its better looking than the $76K GTR. Unless you know the driver of the 370Z is a complete moron, DONT CHALLENGE THE 370Z! 'round a track that is. Yeah yeah the SS would win in a drag but around a track....

Dont get me wrong i LOVE the Camaro. I'll be getting it because it is more practical, better looking, and CHEAPER than the Z.

Here's a newsflash for you,i never said it was a "supercar",but apparently the mighty Silverado is SOOOOOO fast,a ext. cab mind you,it's SOOOOOO fast,a car needs to be a "supercar" to beat it.....c'mon,your SS would hang with a 350Z but if these mythical Silverados can "beat" a Z,couldn't they beat your SS as well, huh,i think i'd want my money back if i was you.
