Wow, I can't believe no one ripped me new one. Does this mean it's true????????

The fact that nobody ripped you a new one is testament to the type of people we have on here! Don't believe that no reply confirms your opinion.

It does make u wonder though. For the most part opinions are not well tolerated here unless they r praising the Camaro. If for any reason some one doesn't lover every aspect of the Camaro they r immediately told "GM worked so hard on this car, and u should love it no matter what.
I don't think the caliber of people here is any different than 99% of the forums I am on.
U really don't find it interesting that no one can express any opinion about things they would like to change or add with out fear of persecution. I think it's odd that every one loves every part of the new Camaro. I personally have never purchased a new vehicle, that I did not immediately want change more than 1 thing.
Look at the all the people that want a high hp Camaro model. Most have just shut up about it, b/c everyone continually giving them grief about it. Some have even posted they were leaving b/c no one supported their dream for the Camaro.

In about 6 months, we'll all either have our Camaros or will be in the process of buying them, and all this will be just whiskey under the bridge

Y do u think I'm way out in left field?

The whole high hp Camaro is only old to those who do not want the car. Isn't the mighty Scott the one who told us to keep the faith, and is now wavering on his statement, blaming CAFE.
I am extremely happy the Camaro is coming back. I'm happy for everyone who is thrilled with the SS. I am even happy for those who think the V6 version is good enough for them, but I am very disappointed that this is the end of the avaliable models.
U can't tell me the that everyone drinking the GM koolaid is happy, maybe they r. Every other forum I am on has the their own respective groups of people, those who love the new vehicle, those who hate, and those who want to change certain aspects of it. Those respective groups r not present here. I only want to know y?

I want GM to make a high-powered Camaro. I'm a little tired of the Z28 LSA or ZL1 LS9 rumors, because I've heard too many of them; however, I strongly support the return of the Z28 and Zl1 Camaros.

A lot of us have decided that change is necessary for our cars. It is part of customizing the car to make it our own. I'll make my own high-powered Camaro if GMPP releases a forced induction kit. Others will swap front bumpers. Some will be getting that high profile spoiler. GMPP has given us a lot of stuff to keep us busy on the short term. When we want something else, we'll be on here rabbling about what GM should do next.

My GM juice is delicious. It could use a little high-powered model, a supercharger, and some pricing data, but, otherwise, I'm very happy with GM's hard work.

This is not the end of all models. Expect more. Keep the Faith.

I have to agree with Dragoneye on this one SSNightmare. I am one of the most voicetrous people when it comes to posting about something I don't like. Doesn't matter if it's about the new Camaro, another GM product or even internal GM processes.

This website has given me the freedom to express my opinion. I have never been warned about anything I have posted and if you searched on some of my previous posts, you would see what I mean.

Something to keep in mind, many GM insiders and journalists regularily check into this site to find public opinion. Why would they bother if this was just a love in on everything Camaro and everything GM? They want to knwo the good and the bad so they can decide for themselves if someone's point is valid or not.

I guess that this thread will get closed since arguments are breaking out about closing threads... Just joking...

Anyway, this is not the first time someone was fired for providing too much information about an upcoming car. It happened on the Sky forum with a plant worker....

as I recall, much of that was a misunderstanding. And discussion pretty much ended with "GM does not talk about future product plans" or words to that effect
I am extremely happy the Camaro is coming back. I'm happy for everyone who is thrilled with the SS. I am even happy for those who think the V6 version is good enough for them, but I am very disappointed that this is the end of the avaliable models.
end of know models

Well I could tell you that everyone is happy, but it would be a lie.
Every other forum I am on has the their own respective groups of people, those who love the new vehicle, those who hate, and those who want to change certain aspects of it. Those respective groups r not present here. I only want to know y?
could be because the vast majority of people like it? more below.
The styling is fairly polarizing, either you like it or you don't. If you don't like it you aren't likely to look much further into the car and join up. Along the way, there have been lots of people that don't like specific details -including some of the mods here. Many of these items have been explained and some are fine with those explanations others aren't. Those that aren't fine with it and are unsatisfied with explanations tend to go away.

As for performance, thus far the Camaro SS will hold its own against the GT500 in everything but a drag race. It will beat all the Challengers in every regard, and clobber the Mustang GT. If this isn't enough, there is always GMPP. Is it the same as a factory Z28? No, but is the problem the lack of a super fast Camaro or the lack of something with a Z28 badge?
