I bought my first car at 15 for $700. I was a candy apple red Mercury Montego Mx with white interior. The car was gorgeous. At 17 I bought a 72 Z28 LT1, wish I still had it.

I rode my bike most of the time. If I needed a car, I could use the parents cars (Mazda 626 or Mazda B2000 pickup), though eventually my brother and I got a VW Bug we shared.
When I went off to college, I bought my first car - a 73 Dodge Charger SE, which originally came with a 383. I replaced it with a 440 Magnum.

Was gonna get a 4 speed '85 Z28 from my cousin. He had dropped a 454 in it from one of those silverado SS's from the early 90's. Was selling it for $5k, or $2500 to me. My step dad test drove it and when we were on the highway doin about 35 he down shifted and floored it, causing it to break loose. He looke right at me and said "you ain't gettin' this car, u'll end up killin urself!" I just went :( and enede up buyin a '93 Grand Prix for $5k. I know now by the way I drove that Grand Prix that he was right. Both me and that camaro would be dead!
