A camaro will never go out of flavor, it's american muscle. This guy just realized that he made a mistake and wants to let us know to stay away from infiniti. Guess what dude? Unlike you, all of us have at least one brain cell. GTFO MOFO

And if you actually had a brain cell, you would have gone with an audi or bmw, if you really didn't want a camaro. Obviously, this guy needs a s**male in order to feel good about himself. So is it really a question that he went to an infiniti dealer? (disclaimer - I'm not breaking any forum rules)

Eh, this is just a case of different market segments. If you're into luxury it sounds like you made the right choice. I personally am into a basic coupe with more horsepower than is necessary. That's why I have a Z now and I plan on a 1ss in the near future.

Diff'rent Strokes for different folks.

So if you're willing to pay 7k more, sure get the G37... The fit and finish is nice, it is a luxury car, the Camaro is a muscle car.

But I can tell you this, with the G37 you're gonna want the next gen as soon as it comes out in a couple years. Because everybody knows luxury cars perceived to look like crap as soon as it's not the latest model... People rarely keep their luxury cars more than a few years, so good luck continually upgrading your car and wasting money...
Good point. Sounds like leasing is the way to go if you're into luxury.

I once considered a G37 before I knew about the Camaro, But realized, that the G37 and Audi's reminded me too much of my daily driver a Honda Civic. The G37 is just plain boring and looks like everything on the road, of course it's my opinion.

I was searching and searching for cars and realized that I was looking for a common trend. I wanted power!.

After 3 months of research, I decided that the Camaro was the best overall, including resale, looks, and power. I even turned down the GT500 because I hated the back and a 10k drop in resale price from 1 year to the next, hell no!

Let me not mention the stories I've had in my camaro with random hot ladies and their desire to ride with me. The cool part about those stories is that I never tried or showed off. Either I was at the light or they came to pursue me to give me their number.

426HP Stock, I will get the respect on the road, including from you!.

Funny but 2005 G's still go for quality cash even with the remodel in the '08 edition - Infiniti has the highest resale of pretty much any car on the road. Trust me, the Camaro excitement that peaked last year is not nearly as strong as it was - couple that with the soon-to-come flooding of the roadways and get ready to eat some cash. Anyone who thinks this car has "collector value" needs to have his head checked. Best effort from GM in ages but the Camaro is still very much a work in progress - especially with regards to the interior.

Folks, comparing the G37 to the Camaro is fine...I'd ask that everyone please do so respectfully and act as adults and avoid making this topic personal.

You're telling me that the resale value (compared to initial MSRP) of a LUXURY vehicle is higher than utilitarian vehicles such as pickup trucks? Or reliable family sedans for that matter...

I for one know that I would never buy a used luxury vehicle. None of my co-workers that bought luxury vehicles bought used. There's no way in hell that the demand on any luxury vehicle remains high for used models, especially 5 year old used models.

No offense, 310guy, but Infiniti's G-series coupes bring up images of people in my age group who think they own a performance car simply because it has two doors and a loud exhaust. The same people usually dress in tight-fitting shirts with a popped collar...

And Camaro folks conjure up images of a guy with a Van Halen 1984 tour t-shirt with the sleeves cut off - well, most.
