No. It was never stated the split rear window will be in the C7.

What was said was "If any design elements from the 50th anniversary concept make into the C7 it will be the split rear window."

Yep, so it's only a guess if it will make it onto the C7

It will require tweaking, that's true. But if they want younger people to buy it, then honestly it's best to stick with somewhere along the line of those two concepts for an exterior. The main reason that us younger people don't like it is that it's look boring. I mean while mechanically, it's a great sports car, on the exterior it looks like a pile of dog s***. That's the truth. The stingray and 50th anniversary look amazing and they would f*** it up, if they don't stick with one of the concept's exterior or both.

UMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM Wasnt the Vette originally a euro inspired roadster to go against Alphas and the like? I think something like a Big HP V8 Exige like car would be awesome, maybe a lil bigger but a really aggressive low wide roadster.

I see conflicting problems with Corvette sales: they want to appeal to younger buyers while addressing perceptions that Corvettes just aren't as nice as Porsches. Appealing to younger buyers will be difficult at the current price range. And appealing to people who criticize the Corvette's perceived lack of sophistication would increase the price. They need two models. They one one already: the Camaro, for younger buyers. But they also need a prettied-up Corvette to pull potential Porsche buyers into the fold.
BTW, I'm not a younger buyer. I just liked the Camaro more than the Vette or Cayman S. And a 911 is a little expensive for 320 HP. I will consider a Vette next time, especially if they make that interior nicer.

Chevy really needs the younger buyer....but the loyal blue hairs will cry a foul big time if it doesn't meet their "heritage" standards. As a previous C5 and C6 owner, I love the Vette. I did encounter a lot of mis-perception about the reasons for owning, and did find that the majority of owners were a bit older...makes sense they aren't cheap. One reason I sold my C6 was I felt a bit over my head.....I hope for the best in the new design, and hope it's as big a success as the Camaro. It's really going to be difficult and regardless, there's gonna be a lot of unhappy people on one side or the other.
