It'd more like less profit margin. Around here dealers like to carry loaded up ones. In normal times these loaded up ones especially the 2ss rag tops at 55k sit for months on their lots and they never move. The 1ss moves faster down here on lots.

Correct, Down here they haven't. I think Ford learned this too a few years ago. The first few years of the Coyote s197 none of the dealers would carry the cheaper base model GT with cloth seats. You had to order them. A few years ago dealers started carrying a lot more of the base model GTs and they sell well. My 2012 was a premium. The only difference really then was the premium has leather (fake leather) and a leather steering wheel and about 4,500 bucks more than the base model. I wanted a base model, just auto trans and no dealers had it. Paying thousands more for crappy leather isn't worth it. |
