Saw it with the wife today in 3D.....

My thoughts...

Amazing colors. Great special effects, Good story line...

But, I CAN NOT STAND the whole "we are killing the world" theme. It is EVERYWHERE I look and it is getting VERY old. Last 3 movies I saw had this in it....

if you have an IMAX anywhere near you, WATCH THIS MOVIE AT IMAX! This was easily the best movie I've seen in YEARS, it was that good! Go see it, as soon a possible- cannot say enough good things about this movie.

Yea, all the talk about some special helmet cam to capture the real actors face in the animation bla bla bla AKA big waste of cash.

Wanna WOW me, release the 3D verison of everything on DVD.

Amazing Movie, Took the wife and three boys to see it and everyone of us thought it was amazing! The 3D was not used as a gag but was really well done. You forget you are at the movie and that your watching a 3D movie.

Most basic storylines have been around forever, especially when you boil them down to their essential conflicts. The outlined plot was probably around since we were drawing it on cave walls and grunting the story to our hunting companions around a campfire while Mammoths trumpeted in the distance.

Hence the important of characterization, atmosphere...all the details. The most important thing about a story is how it's told.
