But it is HIS choice, right? So you don't need to fight over who's suggestion was best, or why someone elses is wrong. That's all I'm saying...trying to prevent an argument from tearing up a thread meant to provide constructive input.

Don't worry, I don't like heated seats, so I won't get them.
They could be nice when the weather is cold, but any other time they're likely to accidentally get knocked on and make my fat ass more sweaty than usual.

I don't think the Mini cooper S with a turbocharged engine, six speeds, and 34/29 gas mileage is a chick car at all. Especially with nice racing stripes. The thing with the cobalt is that it's going to be phased out soon, the looks are boring, and it doesn't pack anymore punch than that mini cooper s. It's still on the list, but I would consider the civic SI ont he same level, for reliability. I've heard stories of stock turbocharged engines and their maintenance issues after 2 or 3 years. The RSX used to be my favorite car...before they killed it. I wouldn't go used for a car as basic as that. It would have to be something that I otherwise wouldn't be able to get with my price range, like a 335i or GTO. I'm thinking right now, in order from top to bottom: Camaro Mini Cooper S Challenger GT Mustang 2006 Yukon Denali used (My dad's that he is either going to give away or sell. It's fully loaded but gas will be a bitch) Basic WRX, won't be able to get many options Civic Si/Cobalt SS |

Seeing as how GM is in the process of closing their suv division I'd have to advise against this - seeing as how you won't be able to get hardly Any money for the thing if/when you try to sell it. not to mention the fact that no one in their right mind would actually Want an SUV to cruise in. (no offense) Sure it's roomy...but so is any car - as long as you're the only person in it

the turbo charged what..? If you're referring to the Si - it's probably because they're wondering if theres a giant bee going down the street.

Legacy - there's a Yellow 2004 Pontiac GTO in Modesto, CA atm, at Robert's Auto Sales on McHenry. - $18,957
Mileage: 37,716 Color: Yellow Interior Color: Black Leather Trans: Automatic Drive: RWD Engine: V8 5.7 Liter (350 hp) Here's the link to the advertisement: http://www.robertsautosales.com/car-....php?id=880877 and just FYI, it was the only car on the lot that made me stop & stare for Hella long. There was a CTS, a few mustangs, Eclipses, 300c's, etc. etc. (quite a few other nice ones) It looked Very clean. And FYI I'm not a salesperson or anything, I just work security across the street from Robert's Auto Sales, at Mistlin Honda, occasionally, and decided to check out the cars across the street; Because honestly they're a lot more interesting then staring at Honda's for 4 hours straight. If I wasn't so obsessed about the camaro I'd consider the GTO. It really grabs you when you fully examine it. Despite the fact it looks like just another Pontiac Sedan (exterior) - it'd pack a mean punch I'm sure. It looks quite a bit better with the hood scoops imo. (standard for 2005/2006 models)

Exactly, the V6 will be well put together car unlike the mustang and challenger v6 which look and perform like "stripper" cars. By the way the V6 challenger has around 240 hp i think and a 4 speed auto. And dont forget about the challengers weight. Anyway i suggest waiting a lil while for the v6 camaro.

I don't know about the times or anything. I don't care about who would beat who, you're probably right. I just want something that's fun to drive and can merge onto an L.A. Freeway after a meter.
Thanks for the info on the GTO I would definately look at it if I were buying now, but I'm sure it will be gone when I'm looking to buy, which will be september, unless I decide to wait. Also, I forgot about that 4 speed auto. Scratch the chally off the list, I want either manual or paddle shifters. The cobalt is a nice car under the hood, I just hate the looks of it and I'm not sure if I can get over the conservative styling. |

It grows on you after a while, if you spring for it.
I find myself staring at my car more often than I thought I would...at the right angle, it's got this forward-leaning [almost aggressive] stance that gives it a "Don't underestimate me" look to it.

The front end is alright, it's just the rear. I just don't see it looking more appealing than a Camaro. It's a nice car, but for the same price, maybe 1k higher, I can get a V6 camaro with what should be similar power. right now
Right now, these are my top 3. Please add any positives or negatives I left out. 1.V6 Camaro positives: mean and imposing looks and power, value, customization negatives: 6 more Months riding in the XJ6, I don't want the V6 to look too far off the V8 2.Mini Cooper S positives: handling, accelaration, classy looks, luxury features, uniqueness, did I mention handling? negatives: Maintenance, no passenger room, not much can be done to improve engine. 3 year warranty is short. and 3. WRX positives:AWD, handling, customization, High re-sell Negatives: Won't be able to get more than 1k in options, I don't want to go import unless it's the Mini or a BMW which isn't going to happen |

Dude, you seriously need to go test drive some rides. Form your own opinions of the cars you're putting on your list. I would even suggest checking out a Cobalt SS Turbo just so you can walk around it and check it out in person. Just my .02
