Must learn to drive stick to get license?

lately, i've been missing my shifter so much that i've learned the shift points in the excursion (yeah 5 speed auto ) & pretend to clutch/shift i obviously don't let off the gas - that'd be rough on the transmission, but it's a little more fun

Yeah.. I do that too.. but I DO let off the gas. Probably killing the Edge's transaxle and Christine's trans.

Probably a good thing though, I'll probably do a 5.4 iron block swap and 5spd conversion down the line. She's getting up there in age and will be ready for a new trans in 20K miles or so. (Just order harness parts, column, and console for a 5spd Explorer Sport along with a yarded trans and 5.4 IB off some derp-derps wrecked Lightning).

they should offer a class for people who want to learn but truth be told there are fewer and fewer cars that utilize the third pedal. even sports cars are getting rid of the third pedal for dual clutch or what have you

Agreed, and as I stated before.. I wish I had this option back in '03. But by then they were all autotragic corollas. And it sucked..

I'm just glad I'm not getting schooled by Kalamazoo's drivers ed schools..

An all prius fleet would drive me to take the bus ONLY.. (pun not intended but funny in a way).

uh... my moms camaro shifts pretty ****in slow especially vs my stick shifting

and imo EVERY car should be manual cause this would be avoided



the reason older people wreck in automatics is because they think they know it all and have the right to do this kinda shit while driving and they get careless but that's just my opinion and i've been cut off too many times by dare i say it even older godly drivers but... thats just my opinion
