All I did was pull the dash rings off, take the rubber flap off the bottom of it, scuff the silver paint up a little with a scotchbrite pad to help the paint stick, spray the front with a couple coats of metallic black gloss rustoleum paint and then the back with a coat of flat black paint trying to get some overspray onto the inside of the rings to cut down on their glossiness and reflectivity. I'm sure they'd look great done an even semigloss or matte black front and back too. The trickiest part is getting the part off and back on but I think only help I can offer on that is PULL. Might be easiest when it's hot though so none of the clips break.... maybe run the heater for a while or move to Arizona or use a hairdryer or wait till July.

Looks pretty good, but I do think it takes away fromt eh retro modern theme of the guages. Do you have to 4 pack guages, and are you going to paint the trim on them to match?

AWSOME idea and nice job. Adding this to my list of things to do when I take delivery in a few weeks. The list is growing and so are the items to put on. Looks like a stop at the paint store is in order now. Thanks again for the tips and ideas. (My wife keeps telling me to keep it stock, why do all of these changes). Guess I need to be differant, I have never kept anything stock..........LOL

Yup, did the same thing a while ago. Ordered the steering wheel trim and will be doing the same to that next week.

I also covered the gloss black metallic paint with clear coat.

I'm going to do mine in IOM but that looks good too.
I think you should do the center console in black as well.

Nice job
How much were the parts that you ordered? Do you have the part numbers?

Can someone show some pictures of how it looks compared to the rest of the dash.

I ordered the Speedo/Tach Bezel through Camaro Scotty's dealership - Dave. It was around $64 shipped.

I ordered my silver steering wheel trim through the GM Cheap parts site (www.gmpartscheap.com), so I don't have GM part numbers. I think they just farm to a dealer anyway. Part was $48 plus shipping.

I don't have pics further back...or at night.

Thanks
Michael J.
