The amg guys always want to go at me and I don't back down to them eff that. They seem to think their shit don't stink. Kinda what's going on here.

Lol, this is true. Especially in GTA, i feel like AMG and M guys have something to prove. Always rev the **** out their cars to let people know its more than a grocery getter. Otherwise nobody will look at them.

Your new ride looks cool. I imagine it's a fun car. I’d never own a Benz (or BMW, Audi, Porsche, etc.) but that’s a personal choice; just not my thing.

What did you really expect? It’s a Camaro forum. Niceness and good manners are underrepresented on the internet. In all likelihood, the AMG forum will be thrilled with your new ride.

Enjoy!

Congrats on the C63! I like 'em and actually test drove a leftover 2014 C63 (that looked like your 2009) before I purchased my ZL1 in earl 2015. Those cars are quick.

lol you should see them in Oakville! They're everywhere! There are 7 houses on my block and 5 of them have amg's. They give me the stink eye when I fire my camaro up on saturday mornings when they are out washing their benz's. I chuckle as I rumble by them. Don't get me started on the bimmers.

Paddle shift, actually... like the automatic camaro... still lame?

I'm sure. That's nice. Try mine. With 2k in mods (a lone tune and filters) this thing already runs with my camaro that has 20k in mods. Super camaro greatness right there.

Another brilliant statement. Nothing I've had to fix on this car yet has cost anymore than parts for the Camaro.

What? You mean the two giant camaro doors that you need an empty parking space next to you in order to not break your ass getting out? Takes away room on the inside? The only person I have ever been able to get in the backseat of the Camaro was my GFs 90 lbs daughter. I can park the Mercedes anywhere, open the door fully without smacking into anything, and comfortably seat four.

All that is true, but the bottom line to many Camaro owners is that the Camaro LOOKS much better in terms of being a muscle car that is appealing to the eye. I can't tell you how many strangers give me the "thumbs up" when I'm driving along. Camaros that are kept up DO have "twist your neck" to look appeal to them. To me, the Mercedes does not. Yes, it can be just as fast. Yes, it can also brake well and be more comfortable inside. But baby, you can't redesign it to have that Camaro 5th Generation curb appeal!

my wife's new Escape has paddle shifters. so kinda lame to me.

I still can't understand why Benz don't offer a 6-speed when it's offered in M3's M5's. But I don't think you can get a manual in a Ferrari anymore either.

Actually, if it has the "AMG SpeedShift MCT" it's a fairly bad ass tranny. It doesn't even have a torque converter. Computer-controlled double declutching and "Race Start" are just a couple of the advances.

But that's the thing about German cars and 'll say it again; I used to spend a lot of time telling people how cool my BMW was... with the Camaro, most folks tell me, unsolicited, how cool it is.

The fear of high repair costs was one reason I got rid of it. For example, if any part of the cooling system fails, you could almost guarantee the head would warp before you noticed, resulting in a very expensive repair if you are out of warranty.

When I picked up my BMW at the shop one day they had just finished explaining to a (not so happy) customer why his Mercedes power-steering pump was $1200 to replace.

what are you like 12? love the long doors, sedans have shorter doors therefore less easy to get in and out of. I'm a big guy so that is important to me. get some decafe and get the panties unwaded ....good grief!!

What is the point of criticizing someone else's taste? Does anyone else care? That AMG is a very nice car with awesome performance. I appreciate all high performance cars and wish I could afford that kind of money to spend for a second nice car. I'd bet the reason some people criticize this guys AMG is because they can't come close to affording anything like what he can and feel inferior. Anybody can criticize anything. Doesn't take any brains.

The AMG is an awesome performer with the looks of a practical 4 doors familycar.
I like the 5thgen for his to small windows, his shape not build by the windtunnel, not really a practical lightweight car but it looks so f**cking awesome
