Not giving up mine. ever.

All they do is restrict the legal owners and let go the a-holes that kill the others.

Oh yeah, gun control works well.

Chicago is out of control, I was reading just a few weeks ago there were over 100 people shot with 25 of them dead in just one week, tragic.

There is something fundamentally wrong with how people are being brought up out there. The area I live in is full of guns. I would bet that damn near every home has atleast one. We don't kill each other here.

Excellent post. There is far more at play then firearms. I'll refuse taking the soapbox, other than a quick aside. I had to attend a meeting at the school board for an excellent presentation on Equity vs Equality. At the end they had panelists and the over riding theme, sadly, was white privilege and slavery. The black community has to own the problems, recognize the issues, and make change. Finger pointing has yet to solve anything, for anyone.

Motorhead and Royal Tiger hit it on the head... it all comes down to education and respect - for guns and people

Heh, I know but here in NY they like to pass bills at 3am to take away your rights, your wrongs, freedom to pee when you feel like it...

we need to figure out out to export the violence in Chicago to every democratically controlled city in the USA and let them kill each other off

someone mentioned finger pointing. My stepdaughter has that problem. She said she lost her job because her work kept changing her schedule. I asked, didn't they give you the schedule of your hours and days you work? Yes, she says..............you're right, it's your works fault.

People need to be held accountable for their actions. If you get arrested, then maybe it's your fault, not the police.

Crime is running rampant.

This could be said about alcohol as well.... you will metabolize it differently than I will, based on.. age, weight, stress, sex, how much you consume, things you've had to eat.

Marijuana effects CAN last up to 24 hours, depending on the THC level AND how often that person consumes... but most lasting within 5 hours.

The one thing I will point out about MMJ that we have seen here in CO, and other states that have MMJ available. There have been a steady drop in opiate overdoses and deaths. There has also been a steady decline in opiate, depression, and other prescriptions by doctors.

If you read this article, look who has been using MMJ, and it's not who you would think.

Impaired driving is the biggest issue with legalizing of marijuana. With alcohol there is an easy test and accepted standard, and that is also needed for marijuana. No one should be driving high, but without a way to test how high, it will make enforcement problematic.
