My wife's last vehicle was a 2011 Grand Cherokee Limited. She has always owned Jeeps until her new BMW. We never had a problem with any of them. It was a great vehicle, although 2011 had a lot of gremlins that weren't worked out, stemming from the complete redesign. Loaded, HEMI, 20" wheels, etc.. If you're anything like me, when I purchase a vehicle, I want it loaded. Buying a stripped down Macan just for the Porsche name is foolish, when a Top of the Line Grand Cherokee can be had for the same price. Good luck!
I wasn't sure if the Porsche lineup featured leather and full power accessories, like on the corvettes. But I am definitely a "bang for the buck" kinda guy and if two products are the same price and one has way more features than the other, I'm going with the fully loaded one

The redesigned Mazda CX-9 seems to be at least worth checking out. It has 3 rows of seats and what appears to be a pretty nice interior.

If you go Range Rover, don't bother with anything below the Sport. The Evoque is built on a Ford-based platform with a 2.0T Ford Ecoboost engine. It sounds and rides like a $25k Ford CUV, but you pay $50k for it.
I think the CX-9 is really a good looking vehicle with the new redesign.

I agree that the Macan or any Porsche can get expensive, especially with the way you can option them up. We have had several Jeep Grand Cherokees over the years and love them.

When were looking for a new SUV I was certain it would be another Jeep GC. We test drove the Jeep GC SRT, back to back with the Macan. Although we loved them both, no contest, the Macan was so much better than the SRT in every way. Surprisingly the price of both vehicles in Canada were practically the same, $77k for the Jeep GC SRT and just under $78k for the Macan S with comparable options.

If you don't want to spend that kind of money, don't take the Macan for a test drive, it really is that good.

Good pick...to me, unless we're talking about a fun car, I would go Toyota or Subaru all the damned way. Some cars have more character but that won't help much if they're in the shop all the time.

I personally have a 2015 Subaru Forester Touring (fully loaded) as my 2nd vehicle and it was probably the wisest purchase I have made besides my home. Zero problems, plenty of features and it will out traction / out off-road almost every other SUV on the road.

Thanks guys, I got a few min to check it out after work...not too long with the rain though. She got it OTD for about 10k less than a limited's sticker, and this thing is pretty much optioned out. Looks like the only thing it doesn't have is push button start/remote start.

She did alright today lol

If you like the 4runner, look at the GX460 since it's pretty darn similar, except the GX gots that v8!

Uff, a bit slow! Congrats on the car!
