Which is exactly what we want to happen. A guy on GMI shared a story from his college where he overheard two students talking about how much they liked the Enclave.

The Camaro has influenced this trend greatly...people go in to see it, spot a Malibu or Equinox on the lot and end up driving off in it.

GM's also been marketing the LaCrosse aggressively towards a younger crowd as well...not necessarily teenagers or college students, but people who have just graduated with degrees or professionals.

It's not brainwashing. It's experience. Think about it, a lot of 50+ folks (I don't call that old since I'm 33) had their main car buying years in the 70's or 80's when American cars...were junk, for the most part.

My first car was a 1987 Toyota Camry. My second car was a 1987 Ford Taurus. Three guesses which one broke down constantly, and which one seemed indestructible until it was nailed by an Acura. When one car goes 400,000 miles with the biggest problem being an alternator replacement, and the other requires three such replacements in the course of a year, plus a complete transmission failure...and you've spent you're life watching Ford-friendly relatives buying POS after POS...what're you supposed to think?

and now in the clause it should say (chevy does not take past responsibility for FORDS actions to decide that they're going to descrace the name of a real American car)

Nah, I think it's a clause that says: Every car sucks.. except for Zeus' chariot.

(Not you, Zeus..the other lightning bolt guy. No, sticking forks in electrical sockets doesn't count..)

I have noticed that things have picked up.. No Equinoxes or Traverses, and very few malibus and HHRs on DeNooyers lot..

but there were a metric S**t-ton of Impalas (lol)

Surprisingly, DeNooyer actually over-ordered on their Camaros (wat). 1 too many, but how or why it's not selling is beyond me. Maybe the fact that it's Oct. and it's a RWD 6spd SS in Michigan. :/ Just like how Harley and Honda bike sales tank around..oh, now.

First time I saw an ad like this was when the Aura came out and Saturn said you could compare it to the Camry right there at the dealership. I guess if it worked well enough for the Aura they thought they'd try again.

On a sidenote about buying experiences, my dad bought a 1980 Ford Mustang Cobra turbo(new) and the thing was in the shop more than it was on the road. After that got a 1982 Camaro Z28(also new) and we became a Chevy family. Never anti-domestic, just anti-Ford, hehe. Oh, and if you are trying to sell a bad car, never sell to a friend. My dad didn't hear any end to the complaints about that car until he moved away. Kinda wished we never sold that Z28 or I'd be driving it now. Ran fine until we moved to a state with emission laws(Dad removed all the emission equipment on it).

Its funny seeing people stand up for the lexus on youtube in that edmunds vid. But a tape deck in this day and age is like saying "you must be this old to buy this car".
