Well, Dynospeed just finished making the baseline pull on the car, here are the results:

That's a little more than I was expecting at the wheels from a car that is rated by the factory at 540HP at the crank.

Now the real fun begins!

I'd say that car was a little under rated then. That's only a 12% drive train loss which I'd say neigh impossible.

540 - 475.73 = 64.27

64.27 / 540 = .1190

.1199 x 100 = 11.90%

17% is the number I usually use on a manual car for drive train losses.

Have you looked around the net to see how yours compares to others?

I test drove a 2010 Mustang GT yesterday up at Alexander Ford just for kicks. It felt way under powered compared to my Challenger R/T. I'd like to try to test drive a GT500 to compare.

Yeah, I was suspicious about the numbers, too, but it seems to be right in line with what others are putting down. Here's another stock 2010's Dynojet numbers:

You should drive one. My SRT8 feels way underpowered compared to my stock GT500.

Obviously, you have around 100 more horses in your GT500 when they are identical in weight lol.

What would it put out at the crank given the dyno he had with a 17% drivetrain loss?

Do the math:

475 X 1.17=555.75HP at the crank.
