Probably right about that. Could you imagine a lt1 based 427? That power band would be insane!!!

Yeah it's a sweet car and those wheels are huge. Question for you. In not sure if thats your camaro in that picture but both the camaro and corvette have that wind restrictor. What's your and or his opinion on the camaro and vette? Does it help a lot? That might be something he would want to get. Thanks

We both love the windscreens. On the highway with the windows up the turbulence is cut down and you can converse, listen to the stereo, and the heater and ac work well. His oem screen has a large 427 in red and outlined like the hood emblem silk screened on the mesh material. Look for that one.

Lol, so true. My dad told me about this car and would've bet him that it's not a 427, I would've lost that bet. It's a sweet car.

It's a great car no doubt, but I don't believe it has all the lightweight tid bits that the Z06 had.

edit: nevermind

The main difference is the chassis. This one is based off the grand sport model only because they were concerned with the rigidity of the chasis since it is a convertible with a good amount of power. But I think that is it. Carbon fiber front end & there is a good amount of aluminum parts too and lots of goodies

It has it all including a full CF front end. The steel frame, besides the top, of course is the only real difference between the Z06 and the 427 Heritage as stated before.

Knowing what I know now. I would take the vert. Just my personal opinion. Sure, the z is a little bit lighter but I will tell you when the top is down. You open her up and get those revs up high it sounds completely different with the top down. That sound run shivers down my spine just thinking about it. And when you let the gas go, the popping sounds soooo good.

The convertible is the only way to go, especially out here in SoCal. Enjoy your father's ride from time to time.

I will try as much as possible. And thanks for posting that picture up, showing those wind deflectors, he is looking at getting one very soon. You said that there were 126 cgm made, any idea how many total 2013 427 corvettes. I looked before and couldn't find anything. Either way thanks again.

There were approximately 2500 total. They sold more than what was expected over the Z06 and ZR1 as it was the last year of the C6, 60th anniversary and the only year for a 427/Z06 convertible. It will probably be the last time there is a 427 Corvette.
