It already exists as the Chevy SS. Get one before they are gone. If you really want 4 doors and a sleeper look, it's the car to get. Mag ride, 6 speed manual, LS3, what's not to love?

It's expensive compared to its competition, it's imported which means low volume and hard to find, and it won't be imported next year if I read correctly.

No the Chevelle was a Mid Sized car. The Impala, Bel Air, and Biscayne were Full Sized cars.

Too small. CTS is the correct size for Malibu and Chevelle.
You are correct, Chevelle and Malibu was intermediate /midsize. |

Fair enough. I was just trying to point out that the Chevelle was larger than the Camaro so to bring it back as a small ATS sized car makes no sense.

So an LT4 powered Malibu in RWD with a Chevelle nameplate. Chevy make it happen. Lol

You forgot all wheel drive. Might just as well have a car that hooks up without a summer only tire. Would be a great DD/winter beater. The next best thing to one with Twin turbo V6 so it would get better MPG. I don't think a Chevelle/Malibu should ever be a car to replace a Camaro or Vette, it's a car to drive when you don't want to drive your nice cars. I drive a 2014 Malibu as a DD and really like it but it could be better. Here in Mi we need something to drive in the winter.

If you want a 4-door 5th generation Camaro, buy a Holden HSV VF Commodore. Its sold in the USA as the Chevrolet SS, albeit without the Super-Charger. Identical cars under the skin. Parts can be swapped out easily with zero modification from the Camaro.
4-door 6th Gen would be the ATS. Compare the 6th gen parts teasers with an ATS and it really does look like the exact same car under the skin - much like what VW do with the MQB platform, or Nissan with their new CMF platform. |

Malibu as a sedan ... Chevelle as a coupe but they would screw that up like the camaro 3980 lb camaro... free willy weight ..put the ls9 in a cobalt.. that's more of what I'm thinking. chevelle actually was a mid size car.. 3400 lbs seats four easily and was a joy to drive. the other car was the Nova....didn't want to pull up along side one with a fender badge that said 396..you knew it was time to get your doors blown off..another lightweight 375hp 3000 lbs car...get the point... light weight max horsepower .

Putting an LS9 in a Cobalt is the dumbest idea I have heard of since sticking the LS4 in a FWD Impala mated to a transmission that couldn't handle the torque.
